bruery just posted about this on facebook...

    "
This past Sunday brought a very monumental day for us -- our final brew on our original system took place and we celebrated by having our staff join together for one last batch. This beer, which we are affectionately calling Decommission Brue, will only be released to employees with a very small amount on draft at The Bruery Tasting Room at some point in the near future.

In happier news, the transition to our new 30 BBL GEA Craft-Star system has begun, and we can't wait to get our new system up and running soon!"

wonder what kind of beer it is?

I love Smoking Wood, not sure why it gets so much hate.

I see it being some kind of strong ale. With the transition to Terreux I don't see it being a sour.

I was actually watching them do this. They were all drinking beer while they pulled out the final mash. Like a dumbass though I didn't ask Matt what it was exactly.

just got the preservation society email. confirmed line up is lderacola, sucre port, and SANS PAGAIE!

    "
    Good afternoon Preservation Society members,

We're very excited to let you know the final beer that will be included in this quarter's allocation is one of our favorites, Sans Pagaie!

Now that we have transitioned all of our wild ales to Bruery Terreux, we've changed up our techniques a bit for the way that we infuse all of the cherry goodness into our variation of a Belgian-style kriek and we're very excited to bottle it up for you. We're actually working on that this week, ensuring a wonderfully fresh fruit character when the beer is available to you in early July."

That is a bold move to put beers like that in the PS allocation. I may not be impressed, but it may open the eyes of someone fresh to the Bruery.

I hope the limits are high on Sans Pagaie. I really enjoy that beer. Definitely one of my favorite sours from them.

It makes me nervous that they are switching it up slightly. I loved it as it was before.

I agree...I like the Kriek aspect, Belgian funk, I wonder if they are going for more jammy instead..

Then again they do strive to stay true to Belgian styles as much as they possibly can..maybe it will get even better?? Fingers crossed, this is one of my favorites.

Sans was available in last years preservation society quarterly allocation. Not sure why anyone would care about it being in the allocation.

So I'm guessing rs is getting Sans next month, since ps getting a vintage sans seems out of the question.
I finally opened this months beers, melange 12 had a definite butterscotch flavor for me and beret was great, I want to pair it with a cheesecake desert.

I love melange 12, only had the bottled version so far but it's drinking great. I feel like it would be easier to kill a bottle by myself compared to CR or GM but it doesn't suffer in the taste or mouthfeel aspect. If anyone doesn't want an allocation let me know
