Haven't had it yet. I'm doing a Paleo challenge at the gym so I have to avoid alcohol until the end of the month.

The food portion is easy. I don't miss bread, pasta, etc.

    But beer......that's tough.

I stopped in a liquor store the other day that is not on Beermenus since it was on my way home and he had a bottle of The Abyss on his shelf. When I bought it I asked him how long it's been sitting there, he said he's had it in for months now..

The gas station idea is perfect. Heading out to do some kayaking yesterday, stopped at a Marathon to grab some cans for the river, stumbled into 3F, and Upland sours. Twas a good day!

I go to the store the other night for some coke zero and I return 40 minutes later entering thru back door where my beer fridge is, she say's it took that long and I replied yes, they were crowded. What I didn't tell her was that they put up a bunch of singles Tank 7 in the mixer six display for $9.99 a six pack. Why the 40 min? Sometimes I am slow with math, and the asswipe in front of me took all the 90 minute IPA that was there.

I stopped by another Convenient store that is not on Beermenus and found 4 bottles of BCBS 14! This has been a good week!

He also had some Hopslam, but several months after release, I decided not to buy them and also a bunch of FFF bombers.

One of my favorite hobbies is stopping at off the wall beer stores, especially when I am out of state, to look at their inventory. I equate this to when I was a younger and I'd stop at the used CD store and spend time sifting through each rack of CDs looking for that lost gem.

I was looking for some Sea Hag coming back from Tree House, and stopped in a tiny new place Grape something or other, and they had a bunch that was almost a month old. Yes please. Still better than any other shelf ipa.

It does pay to look! I remember driving through Escondido, CA back to Salt Lake City and my son needed to go to the bathroom. We stopped to the nearest gas station. Don't remember the name but it was like half gas-station and half bottle shop! Very happy to pick up some more bottles before leaving CA.

I actually haven't tried it yet. I'm doing a Paleo eating/drinking challenge this month at my gym (yes, I'm one of those Crossfit people) so no alcohol. I'll be cracking one at 12:01am on July 1st.

I was at a BevMo and was looking at the Ballast Point selection. In the row of bombers, the Sculpin row was empty. Feeling optimistic, I peered back into the shelf and lo and behold, there was one bottle of Sculpin way in the back. I took it back to my hotel, threw it in the ice bucket. It was tragically disappointing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just recently moved to Staten Island, Ny and its been tough finding places with a good beer selection. I've been hitting all the little delis and usually Rebel is the best they have. So surprise im off late from work and want a beer and a store 2 blocks from my house has Bell's Saturn. $2.50 for a single and a nice way to cap a night off

one of the best beer shops in portland looks like the most generic Quick-e-mart type of place ever. Pickled hot links, jerky, red bull, candy bar aisle, Stickee Monkee, Peche n Brett, Bruery Smokin Wood, Mikkeller Vanilla Shake.....

Not a big find, but a shop in Kansas had a bottle of DORIS on the shelf. I picked it up and Natasha and BORIS were behind it; all discounted 30%.
