I have not personally, BUT, I do go back and forth with another BAer with growlers and he did change his. He actually thought that one was worse! He went to pizzaboy and filled it up and it was already leaking by time he walked out.

Using a lid like that for a carbonated beverage is a terrible idea.

Well Sheeet.... Guess i'll try another replacement with the Bruery. I wish they had a crowler machine dedicated to members only. Now that would be bad ass!

Well what's odd is that it appears to work for quite a few people.

I still just use my RS growler for water...but my Alesmith grumblers have gotten a lot of love recently..and since it is wed. might get even more love in a few hours.

Sorry, forgot to reply about that. I got the medium and picked it up Sunday. It clear says in the hat that is for sizes 7 1/4 7 1/2. I would use that as a guide to decide if you should go bigger or smaller.

    Hi there!

Sorry to hear you never got a response! I do have that info handy and have added it to the item listing on TheBrueryStore.com.

    Here are the sizes:
    S/M (6 7/8” - 7 1/4”)
    L/XL (7 1/4” - 7 5/8”)
    XXL (7 5/8" - 8")

    Cheers,
    Matt Olesh

I did fill a growler on Sunday and drank a few hours later. Seemed fine. I'd want to let one sit a couple of days to ensure there's not a slow co2 leak before I use in shipping. The flip top doesn't look like it would hold if it was shipped, so you'd probably want to tape it down for shipping.

Edit: I think if a problem arises, it'll be due to the flip top like in the pic above, not the screw seal, which seems pretty solid

As an above poster asked...I'm looking for a quick trustee pickup (mine is out of town for two months). I have two shippers of beer to send to me. I will send mobile shipping labels. Could paypal $ for your new shippers. Also willing to have you keep two of my Hottenroth with peaches. Just message me and we can work out details.

Sorry guys didn't realize this was the lowest of the low. Well let me know if other Chicago beers could work. Not trying to take advantage. I know there are people who frequent the tasting room/live close. Free beer is always a thank you.

Just picked up 2010 Black Tuesday. Am I safe in assuming that the label design and ABV are the best way to identify this as 2010? I'm not seeing a bottle date on my bottle.

Correct. I don't think years went on the labels until 2012. Every year the ABV slightly changes though.

It may be liquid tight but the flip top's retention isn't designed to handle contents under pressure.

With that the only words of caution I would advise is that the pressure buildup from the release of carbonation will force liquid out of the straw if you attempt to drink from it in that manner. I once made the mistake of filling a Camelbak bottle with root beer and learned that lesson the kind of hard way...

Just curious, anyone in here have the bottle logic hydro flask? Do they have the same problems?

I'm pretty sure they have FiftyFifty and not Hydroflask.
