What should I look for in Florida?

Cigar City in Tampa... worth the 40 minute drive from Orlando.

 

Cigar City as mentioned before and if you head to Tampa Peg's for a brewpub and also around Tampa you have several breweries in 7venth Sun, Dunedin, Big Storm, Tampa Bay Brewing, St. Somewhere and eventually Rapp Brewing.

Cocoa Beach actually has a smaller brewery called conveniently Cocoa Beach Brewery that is actually not bad. Orlando has Knightly Spirits for bottles and 2 Total Wines, and Redlight Redlight is one of the best beer bars period. Oblivion Taproom, Shipyard Emporium, Tap & Grind are worth visits as well and we have a new brewery, The Hourglass Brewery, and brewpub, Cask & Larder, opening sometime soon, likely after Labor Day.

Your best bet for bottles and not a brewery is any Total Wine & More. They have a bunch around Florida.
You should try to visit Cigar City, they make great brew and seems like it'll be the closest one to you.
Saint Somewhere is in Tarpon Springs so if you head west from Orlando before going south to Naples you'll be right around that area.
Due South n Funky Buddha are pretty far southeast in Florida, but if you do come southeast I'd highly recommend Due South.

Headed to Cocoa Beach in a couple weeks. Reviews of this place don't suggest stopping. Am I missing something?

 

They certainly aren't Cigar City or Funky Buddha, but I've enjoyed what they make for the most part, but nothing is a stand out beer. Also, their bottle labels are horrid, but if you're going to be in Cocoa there are far worse places to stop and check out.
