I stopped in a local liquor store and it was sitting on the table with a hefty price tag. Some research revealed it is not very easily attainable here in the States so I figured why not. Do these hold any trading power? I've been exercising futility by trying to scoop up a BCBVS or Black Tuesday and was hoping this might make my offers more appealing.

Also, I can't for the life of me determine what vintage this particular bottle is and the proprietor of the store couldn't answer that question. It is an updated label than the one on the BA listing in the database. That is the best I can muster. Any help is much appreciated.

I knew of one store that brought in two cases of the 2003 vintage. Its very limited, but hardly a whale. It can be ordered online and it saw some distribution so its value is probably awkwardly between a 3F doesjel/scharbeeske kriek and an Armand series. I traded one bottle for a 750ml Doesjel + B2 Parabola. It might very well land a BCBVS or a new batch of BT. The vintage will be on the front of the label on the bottom right in an oval and in roman numerals, "MMIII" for example.

IMO its worth the price tag as a special occasion beer. Its what I cracked after I graduated from college and I loved it. Would I buy it again? Hell yeah, but I'd save it for another special occasion. It held up amazingly well for a nearly ten year old beer.

If you haven't had it but like the style I would highly recommend drinking it. I don't see too much de Cam trading on the forums but I think they make an amazing product. What price did you pay for the bottle? I would tend to think that it could get a BT without a problem, BCBVS I am not sure, only because of the current hype around it.

On the back of the bottle of Oude Geuze de Cam that I have it is hand written on the back in a box labeled for the date.

I paid $37 in Chicago. Thanks much guys. This is the exact kind of info I was looking for. Oh and the MMIII was on the label, as you said. Again, much appreciated!

$35, I traded some out for some vintage fantome and some others out for 3F growlers.

I had a bottle of the MMIII a couple weeks ago, and I will say it was certainly worth it, but I definitely wouldn't trade it if you like the style.

I figured I would see if it would help me get the elusive beer I've been after. If it doesn't help, I'll gladly drink it!
