If you know the reason behind Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut Down Ale, you'd agree with me that its one of, if not the best out there. The tiny writing along the inside square of the label is fuckin comedy.....if you know the story.

HOLY CRAP!!!! Exponential Hoppiness is total NIRVANA!!!!!! I have one bottle left in my cellar, this stuff has to be one of THE most AMAZING big IPA's I've ever had...HANDS DOWN!!! Pure Hoppiness is an awesome experience in a bottle also, I tip my tulip glass to you! BTW, #$%$ those who sold Expo online and spoiled it for all the beer geeks who consume this beer out of total enjoyment and not profit. (insert expletive here: ___________ )

    't age
Nope. Had it fresh, then had it on tap during SD Beer Week at Alpine and it was two years old, I was still blown away. Yep, don't age IPA's I agree, but this one held up surprisingly well. Had it fresh, had it "old", loved 'em both with their own distinct personality. :sunglasses: It's the first IPA/big IPA that I can say this for. Weird, I know! (Had it on tap at Alpine in November and brought home three bottles, consumed two so far.)

Didn't see/hear anything on the video about (i may get the names and people mixed up here but the important details are still in here, please if anyone knows the specifics, correct me) Tony asking the lead detective at the time something to the effect of "Are you happy about this? Is this what you wanted to do with your life? Bust people having a good time?"

The detective said that he originally wanted to be an astronaut. So that is what the label says about dedicating the beer to "would-be astronauts".

Also when the label for Kronik came out, the ABC was about to approve it then caught the marijuana reference at the last minute. Label denied, Tony just slapped the huge CENSORED tape over it, and censored ale was born. Every year when the label goes to the ABC for approval, the censored sticker gets a little smaller every year.

This was all stuff that was told to a very small group of people on a brewery tour at Lagunitas.

Love Lagunitas. Good beer, good people, great company. I buy their beer whenever the opportunity arises, and you should too.

    Cheers.
