So in this case, 98% of attendees will be able to purchase at a 1/person scenario ... I like those odds

If this is the retailer I'm thinking of (pretty sure it is), you can also have them hold on-line purchases at the store as will call.

I'm driving 100 miles (read: my wife is driving), so now, you're saying that she should get a regular ticket in order to get a bottle, even though she won't be able to drink at the event?

I would say klwines, but who knows...

If I throw down $10 for a DD ticket on top of my normal ticket, would you be okay with me buying two bottles? Or convincing someone to show up just to grab a bottle for me then go home? It cuts both ways.

Some beer philanthropist should just buy up all of the remaining tickets for each session thus ensuring there will be more bottles than people in attendance. TIA

True. Then again, on the other hand, it's just 10 tickets per session. Yes, I get your argument about removing 25% of the 12 year from the inventory, but do you really think every single DD will buy a 12y bottle? Don't think so, either way, enough of the negativity, it's supposed to be a fun event, as last year's, so whatever @ModernTimesJacob decides on is fine with.

Yeah im attending Session 2 & would love to get a bottle, but would rather not spend my time at the party in a bottle line instead of consuming beers from that awesome taplist.

Not sure the best way to satisfy everyone, but the 1/p sounds like a good way to satisfy more people... either way should be a good time!

I like the 1/person idea, too bad the bottle count doesn't exactly match the ticket count. I suppose there may be the odd person out there that doesn't like BA MP...

Looking forward to this, only a 250 mile drive for me, but should be well worth it.

I would buy the shit out of it if it was year round. Would have it in the fridge at all times. Especially in can format. 22oz, while I don't find them to be too much for a sitting, they are too much for a fridge staple IMO

Alright, I'm convinced 1 bottle total per person is the way to go. You guys have raised some key issues, and I appreciate it; certainly don't want anyone spending the whole party in line at the merch booth. I'm also going to say no bottles for DDs because I don't want people buying the limited number of DD tickets for mules who aren't actually DDs. I realize this won't make everyone happy, but, well, making everyone happy is an impossible goal.

Something to keep in mind: with this system, there is zero chance the bottles will sell out. Lots of people who come to an event like our anniversary party are not the kinds of folks interested in buying these types of bottles. So it's safe to come to the party when you feel like it and relax, knowing that anytime you amble over to the merch booth, there will be a bottle available for you.

    Cheers & thanks,

So are you saying any leftover bottles will be on sale Monday morning after at opening? *sets a dummy meeting for noon*

@ModernTimesJacob - On a little side note, I know it probably be kinda hectic on the Anniversary days, but will we still be able to pick up our Rum MP's during the party?

I forget what it was in reference to earlier in this thread, but there was something Jacob could not announce, but when asked, he could answer. So for craps and giggles, I'll give it a shot...

@ModernTimesJacob - What is the name of the retailer that will also be selling bottles?

What about people who are attending multiple sessions? They will be able to get up to 4 bottles right?

In other words - should I buy a ticket to another session in order to get the other MP variant or should I upgrade my wife's ticket to the non-DD? Will people attending multiple session be able to buy multiple bottles? (I figure you won't have an easy way of keeping track of it, so the answer is yes?)

[edit] Morning session on Saturday seems to be sold out, so that answers my question.

We'll see how much is leftover, but depending on the quantity, I'll probably either keep them in archive or make them available to The League.
Yes, bottle pick-up will be available at the merch booth.
K&L Wines. I'm only allowed to mention retailers by name in response to a direct question from a consumer. A goofy but well-intended rule.
I think it will have to be one bottle per person per session. I can't think of any easy way to limit it to one bottle per person overall. But if it turns out loads of people are willing to buy multiple tickets just to buy multiple bottles, we'll sell more tickets at the door than usual. We always have some available because 5-10% of people just don't show up.

Just a reminder to folks attending multiple sessions: we love and appreciate the support, but if you're visibly drunk, we're not allowed to serve you. Everyone should remember to pace themselves, drink lots of water, and eat some tasty food.

    Cheers & thanks,

K&L Wines. They do a FANTASTIC single barrel four roses program at a stupid cheap price. Everyone should look into it that likes bourbon.

Edit: Just realized Jacob already replied

Maybe do a raffle for the unsold bottles? If you buy a bottle at the merch table, then you can drop a ticket in the bucket and before last call of that session, draw tickets for a chance to purchase one more bottle. You folks may be too busy for all of that though.
