You won't be laughing when Cellar 3 has their variations of Great release.

To get back to business, can we get some Expo up in this piece? Also, will Green Flash Alpine ever stop sucking?

Went to a soft opening on Saturday and I love the new place. AC, plenty of seating (inside, outside under shade and outside in the open), plenty of Alpine beer, guest beer, good food (although a few things from the old menu are off - sweet potato fries, crab cake sandwich, etc.), a lot bigger and better wine list (my wife is a wine drinker), more parking, etc. Also much closer to my place (only 0.25 miles now instead of 0.70 miles). Haha. I get the old place had charm, but I'm 100 percent in on the new digs.

I was there on Saturday too and I completely agree. It's like an actual restaurant/brewpub with plenty of space now instead of a tasting room with full dining service stuffed into it. It may not have the "character" of the old place but it'll be a lot nicer for anyone stopping by during a busy time. The fried green beans are still great and the deep-fried cheese curds are delicious when they're fresh out. My only complaint is that the men's room is pretty much the same size, but I'm holding out hope that they bring over the outhouse from the old place to make up for it.

What happens to the old pub now? Is it going to get converted to the brewery extension, become just a tasting room or what?

The plan was for it to become a tasting room for the brewery, eventually (maybe being the retail room and growler fill place as well?). I'm not sure if that is still the current thinking.

That's pretty close to what they want to do. Help free up space for couple more tanks and some barrels in the brewery. Allegedly.

The Duet that has been on draft in Denver is nowhere near as good as what I've had in San Diego. I travel to San Diego once or twice a year and always hit Alpine, always hit O'Briens, and I know how good their IPA's can be. It is probably no coincidence that the green flash beer we get here is usually old and shitty too.

As far as the 3 main IPA's go, is it true that GF brews all the kegs and Alpine still brews the beer for all the bottles? Or does GF do everything now that is on draft or in bottles? Is the draft beer at Alpine even brewed at Alpine now a days? lol

No to the GF brews all the kegs Yes to Alpine brewing just for the bottles (thus why it says on the bottles brewed and bottled in Alpine by Alpine Beer Co, legally it would need to say Green Flash brewed if they put the GF version in bottles). No. Yes

The correct answer to this is "sometimes." When a new batch of Nelson/Duet/Pure hits, it's a safe bet that the kegs that go on for the next week or so are the real deal. After that, it's entirely possible that it's GF-brewed product and you may or may not get a heads-up on that (or even a straight answer) depending on who you are and who you ask.
