And it's not just Surly. Remember three or four years ago when you could just go in a store and find Bourbon County on the shelf? I hate that it is now stressful to get the specialty releases from Surly, Goose Island, Deschutes, and Founders (CBS - holy shit!). I know many people have just said it's not worth it, but I haven't been able to do that yet; the beers are just too tempting!

I remember a few years back when everyone was trying to convert their BMC friends into craft beer drinkers. Well, it happened for a lot of people and now people are complaining.

Probably the same people questioning whether the TC can sustain all of the new breweries being built. Don't worry ladies and gentlemen, they will do just fine.

Saw some at Top Ten woodbury yesterday, probably eight or so bottles left(on the shelf anyway). Broke my bomber/750 rule for this one. 19.99

Something creepy I've noticed recently. When did mothman become the voice of intelligence & reason around here? (shivers)

Anyone see Syx at Surdyk's? I'm curious to see if they've gone ahead and overpriced this special release as well.

Presumably. Jim Surdyk was quoted as saying that the people that buy darkness are "the same half-dozen guys, beer people that have nothing to do, apparenlty, but drive around looking for beer"

He doesn't have a lot of respect for the craft beer community

2006 was the first bottling of Darkness. But back then it came in growlers and there was maybe 20 people in line. I got there at around 11:30 lol and still got a growler.

definitely cut back on the ticking. the 'rar' beer scene got to be too much work for what drinking beer should be. i think drinking beer should be as easy as going to the liquor store, picking something off the shelf that doesn't cost more than a tank of gas, and enjoying the hell out of it.

Princeton's in Maple Grove now has some in stock. But I suspect it's going to go fast.

So Tut decided to put a limit on the number of bottles. I wonder if Woody and Dave are also a part of this idea? LOL.

I am kind of curious to see how much Selner marks it up this year. Knowing him he is probably at his cabin in Wisconsin. He has a great gig.
