I feel like 'Southern Tier' has a great line up, solid distro foot print, reasonable prices and great beer nerd stats/food recommendations on their label. I feel like their 'craft beer morals' are very high. Yet they seem to always be left off any 'best of lists' I know they are not the most amazing brewery, but sometimes I feel like they deserve more credit.

Also... Not an American brewery, but Fuller's makes some great stuff and is also unheralded

Neshaminy Creek's County Line IPA is outstanding, yet gets a lack of "rating" love.

Clown shoes. Seriously consistent and awesome beers, that are cheaper and just as good if not better than comparable brews. For the life of me, I can't understand how things like Space Cake at 5.99 a bomber sits on the shelf for more than a day. and don't get me started on Undead Party Crasher - fucking criminal that I can get that beer for 8 bucks a bomber - soft, slightly smoky and rich as all get up. Love me them big feet.

weyerbacher insanity is a 93 and yet criminally underrated. some of the reviews i read before buying this were like "this is the reason i get up and go to work every day" and "if this said founders on the label it would sell out in a day." the 2012 version of this with a year on it has left me chasing the dragon with every barleywine if not every beer i have had since. CWBBBW, BCBBW, sucaba on tap, etc etc....nothing was close. it has definitely been inconsistent from year to year and can be "hot" when fresh but this has to by my answer to this question.

    honorable mentions:
    port mongo
    jolly pumpkin noel de calabaza
    unibroue maudite
    gulden draak

all of these are rated pretty high but don't get mentioned that much. for lower rated beers i would be a PA homer and say anything by sly fox

Community Mosaic. I'm convinced it's the best IPA from Texas, Yellow Rose be damned. YR is good, but NOTHING in this state beats a fresh Mosaic...drinking one now, actually; I wish yall were too.

BTW, the same brewery makes an absolutely outstanding BA stout. They're making Texas (Dallas?) proud.

I love the fact that a MN craft brewer owns a macro beer.

I think Surly should consider this. I bet they can come up with a killer macro (albeit tasty) recipe.

maybe you've had this beer and disagree. Maybe you haven't. If you havent, locate and drink the Brew dog/Mikkeller collab Devine Rebel. Had it on tap a couple months ago and it was incredible. Looked it up here afterward and was astonished at the ratings. I'm with you in loving a good barrel BW. Stand out beer for me.

Nothing wrong with honesty. I respect that more than people joining in and "trolling" with obnoxious candor just to get points. Enjoy your beer. Cheers!

All of it. But mostly brews dedicated to the craft.
