got a Haskell's in that area? they carry them. most Haskells i stop into seem to have three or four of the series still squatting on the shelves.

If he's in Uptown like me, the closest Haskell's is downtown on 9th. Better off going to Elevated. Lot less of a hassle with parking and stuff and Elevated guaranteed has some.

I work in Orono, so I'm just gonna look around a little out there tomorrow. I'll try the Haskell's in Minnetonka.

    Thanks for the input.

Probably a good spot, depending how far you are willing to travel. I would call/check Big Top right near there, Sids and Liqour Barrel off of 55.

jordan at haskells said if they are getting it, they would get it tomorrow.

otherwise, wayzata wine and spirits was expecting it. i went there yesterday and they said it was on the truck and would be on the shelf later that day. havent returned since then to confirm. otherwise, tonka bottle shop had it as of yesterday.

Downtown Haskell's is free parking. (Though only after a specific time during the week)

This stuff is a Berliner weisse. Age accordingly...

I'm not sure if it will improve with age, but I certainly don't think it will deteriorate either.

That being said, I will also say that it has gotten more tart and acidic and less sweet since Firkin Fest the first week in April.

I imagine the peach will fade and the brett will be more apparent

Now that we are up to 7 releases in this series, I might just have to crack into my set for a SxSxSxSxSxSxS... you get the point.

Any rumblings of what the next release will be an approximate timing? seems like we might have to wait a bit considering we just got two in short succession.

A little birdy tells me that it's cypress on gooseberry. It will be very sour.

I guess I always thought that berliner weisse were ok to age, overall not much flavor development, but possible. Is that not the cause?

I did not try it before the other night, so I don't have an comparison. But I thought it was really good now. Guess only time will tell how it ages. I am not really looking to age it in hopes it will get much better, I just want to be able to have one down the road and have it be really good like the one I had the other night!

Let me know if you do this and need help. I will gladly kick in some of the series or possibly try to get some de Garde or other berliner weisse for compare.

Cypress was probably my least favorite, but if this is true, they got me with the gooseberry!

About 4 or 5 left at the Maple Grove Haskells. $14.99 and you have to ask for it, it is not on the shelves. Good luck!

I'll definitely need help on the drinking part but I have at least 1 bottles stashed of each of these. I'm most excited to re-visit the Framboise - it's been a while since I tried it. Not too confident that it will have improved any but hoping the fruit hasn't fallen out too much. I think it would be informative for how the peach will age/hold up

I will gladly help you on the drinking. Maybe Wardpower can get his lovely chef to help pair some food with this.
