Isn't this higher in alcohol than your typical berliner? If so, wouldn't this aid in the aging process?

This will tie in fine with the beers we were gonna drink. Set a date!

Berliners age just fine. The fruit is likely to fade a bit and bret will come forward in the Schells versions, but who knows how much of either of those things will happen, and what that will produce taste wise.

I'm going to have a hard time finding a weekend or even a Friday date for a share, since I am out of town every Friday-Sunday in July :slight_frown: If I were setting this up, I would look like mid August...

I was thinking the same thing - the version I sampled at the Northern Lights fest (where it won Best of Show) was sweeter, which would make sense if it hadn't been bottle conditioned. I think I actually liked the sweeter version better, reminded me of canned peaches, but the bottled version is still really good.

I had a Star of the North with a year on it and I thought it improved significantly. Also had a Framboise with a year on it and thought it did not get better, and possibly faded a bit. Did not bother keeping any of the other ones. So who knows how this will do.

14.99 at Cub Liquor off of 169 and Rockford Rd (42nd St). Don't think there is a limit but I didn't ask. Looks to be 10 left on the end cap

Apple Valley store #3 has 4 of the others in this series and plenty of them in the cooler peach was all but gone though.

Yeah, we're starting to run low on our good sized stash. There was still a decent amount left at the end of tonight but if you're looking to get some at Heritage tomorrow night or early next week it might be worth calling or asking us on social media.

A little more than 400 cases. I need to pick up one more for a trade, so to my fishin' hole I go . . .

Anyone notice differences in bottles? The first one I had was very, very good; tart, dry, good peach flavor. The second one was sweet, overly peachy, and had an overwhelming sort of plastic-peach flavor (that makes it sound worse than it was, I just don't know another word to describe it), almost like it hadn't been bottled conditioned as well as the first. Maybe I'm just going crazy...?

I'm guessing you used a red solo cup for the second bottle. That's your problem.

Joking aside, I've only opened one so far and it seems to match your description of the first. I was going to ask if you got them from different stores but the short amount of time each had it makes that a moot point.

I can tell you that the single bottle I had was just ok. Nothing worthy of a 7 page thread full of hype train madness. I liked it, but I liked at least 3 others in the series more. Either you all had better bottles or I am a cynic. Possibly both.

Picked up one of the last two at Haskell's in Highland. Elevated and Thomas were out. I hope it's as good as the better reviews suggest. I hate paying $15 or more for a bomber.

I never found it here in Woodbury. I ended up just going to Heritage
