I am driving up to Cape Cod this Tuesday. We will hit 95 entering Connecticut up to Providence, RI. Then 195 to Cape Cod. Are there any bottle shops, 6 pack shops, distributors, etc. that I should call up to possibly find Lawson's, other VT beer, or good MA beer (Tree House, Trilium, etc)

Tree House beer is only available at the brewery in Monson. Trillium is available only in greater metro Boston.

there's tons of threads in this forum with "driving from...." topics

The place to stop is Nikki's in Providence. Best bottle shop around. A few exits up past the 195 split but right off 95 and well worth the little extra effort. You aren't going to find what you requested in your post, but look out for jacks Abby, Proclamation, and Grey Sail Captains Daughter for good local options.

Coastal in Branford, ct is solid, and right off of 95

Off 195 in Swansea is Yankee Spirits. They have a couple other locations (one very close, off 95 in Attleboro, MA) but they have a great beer selection also.
You won't find Lawsons, Treehouse or Trillium in any shops down that way. Lawson's doesn't distribute to MA, Treehouse is brewery only, and Trillium is very limited for bottle shops, mostly right in the greater Boston area. There are plenty of other good beers available (maybe not right on those level, but nothing to sneeze at)
Also, on the Cape, check out Cape Cod Beer in Hyannis, and Devil's Purse in Dennis. I haven't had Devil's Purse yet, but CCB is great beer and great people.

Tree House is worth the detour, so is Trillium, but it's more out of the way.

Agree with Yankee Spirits in Swansea MA. Construction in this part of 195 might make that a worthy detour down Route 6 from Swansea to Fall River.

Depending on your destination on the Cape or the islands. A fee slid breweries there now as well. Cape Cod Brewey has a few good offerings, Devils Purse is new. Then Offshore and Bad Martha's on MV are solid also Cisco on Nantucket is good as well.

Where will you be in Hyannis? Moonshine is a great shop and right in town so no need to worry about your new stash getting warm on the way to the cape. Hit up Captain Parkers for the best chowder ever.

Unless you include Long Trail, Magic Hat or Otter Creek in your definition of other VT beer, you will not find anything you are looking for this Tuesday. Plenty of good shops along the way, however.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I appreciate the info on the breweries as well. We are staying right in Hyannis at the harbor. I have planned some visits to the CCB, DP, and Cisco. I will check out Moonshine as well for bottles. We are going to Boston next Saturday for dinner so I am hoping we can go up early and hit Trillium. Once dinner is over, I imagine it will be too late to go to Tree House.

DougC...thank you for the tip about the clam chowder. Those of you who suggested bottle shops, can I expect to find New England Brewing Co at those places? Thanks again!

You will only find NEBCo beers in CT. Costal in Branford, CT should have some.

Also worth a stop, Marshland in Sandwich (near the Sagamore bridge) has been on Food Network and has great stuffed quahogs. Call ahead and they will have them ready when you get there. We always get a dozen on the way to Hyannis and have them all week.

Don't miss Nikki's in Providence. It's right off of RT. 95. The exit is five minutes north of the exit you'll need to take for 195, but it'll be worth it.

    Have fun!

Any other suggestions close to 95 in CT to find New England Brew beers? Coastal looks to have Sea Hag. I would love to find Gandhi Bot

Hit New England Beverage Center in Orange CT right by exit 41 I believe. They have an excellent selection of Connecticut singles and are not that far off the highway. I stop there frequently on my way back home. Have not been to Wines and More in Wareham off 195 in Mass in a while, but last I recall they had a fairly big selection.
