Couldn't get there until about 3:30 today, unfortunately missed out on Abraxas but overall definitely a great event. Was definitely pleased with the beers I was able to try that we typically don't get around here very easily.

Not much to draw you in today, but there is probably a nice bottle for the first couple people to ask...

This Rare & Obscure weekend was outstanding. I tried:
    Perennial Vanilla Bean Abraxas
    To Øl Mr. White
Siren/Evil Twin Even More Jesus VIII
    Mikkeller Ahhh Øl
    DC Brau OTWOA Maple Whiskey
    Mikkeller Frambiig
    Mikkeller SpontanDoubleBlackCurrant
    To Øl Simple Life

The main highlights for me were Vanilla Bean Abraxas and SpontanDoubleBlackCurrant. I also did a half and half of Vanilla Bean Abraxas and Frambiig that was absolutely incredible! I met some guys on Sunday who brought a growler of, among many others, Trillium Double Dry Hop Summer Street that blew my mind, thanks again guys (if any of you are on this forum!). Overall, a great weekend for beer! Many thanks to Casey and the crew at Max's!

Sounds like you met big Bruce just back from Maine Brewing Dinner release. He's a madman and very generous. Sorry I couldn't be there yesterday.

Managed to squeeze in a few hours late Saturday, sadly a weekend full of graduation stuff I had to attend.

The Baladin Xyauyù was my highlight, I tried all three, the rum barrel, the scotch barrel and the gold.

All 'well blow me down' wow wow wow good. Since this was listed on the back of the draft sheet under the bottle list, I wonder if everybody realized you could get a sample ($12) of this $60 bottle?

Honestly, the staff at Max's is, collectively, the best beer bar/pub staff I have ever encountered. They don't get nearly enough credit for pulling off these events. This starts with Casey, but honestly flows right down to the guys who work the door. The best.
