I bought some bud light one time for 30 cents and the ATF stormed in and executed the cashier on the spot. True story.

But I did get a victory dark intrigue for $7 because the label was ripped, and I had seen it at another store earlier that day for $20.

Just two small stories, at a local WF I got charged ~$5 for a bomber of Palate Wrecker and it was like $8, not exactly sure how that happened.

Another one happened at a non-local WF and the cashier charged a Peche Mortel as a single (~$2) instead of the actual price (~$5) since it wouldn't scan.

I just thought of these as good karma. :3

Must have been a 350-lb cashier who rang up one of my singles as a six-pack.

3F Schaerbeekse for $13. The owner sold it to me at this price and I had no idea what the real price should have been (neither did he) Only found out when I came back for another bottle and he wanted $32. The mistake was never brought up. I am such a bad man. Still hold the door for little ol' ladies though (glimmer of hope!?)

I wouldn't go to the store for 120 minute if it was free.

Last time I went shopping at my beer place, the Bruery Fruet was $20 a bottle as opposed to the $32 that they had been selling at everywhere else. The error had been fixed though when I went back two days later... but not before I bought myself a few at the reduced price.

I picked up a 4pack of Founders Breakfast Stout in Atlanta when I was on my way out of town from Total Wine. I checked the receipt somewhere in South GA while waiting for my wife to return to the car and discovered they only charged me $3.99 for the 4pack.

I'm sure someone will tell me I should have driven back 3 hours to pay the full price, but I did not. Besides, Total Wine gets enough of my money as it is.

I've seen the total wine do "end of season closeouts" on beer. I bought a couple bricks of Allies Win the War for $3.99 each.

While they do indeed do that(and thank goodness for that), this was definitely in season, price as tagged was full price(10.99?) and it was the last 4 pack there. Definitely cashier error and a delicious one, at that.

I probably saved Kuhnhenn a $100 or so over a 2 year period by pointing out their bartender's mistakes. They always tried to under charge me for bottles or completely forget to charge for a draft. I always pointed it out.

2 different times I've scored Damnation 23 rung up as regular Damnation. I've even had the grocery person run back and check the price and confirm they were $4 when I know they are usually $12 or more. Needless to say, I've had a pretty full fridge of Damnation 23 this year.

getting 5x 120minIPAs at $2.50 a pop is like getting 5 for the price of one. find it a little ironic that you didn't notice $40 of savings as it's likely you would've noticed being over charged $40

I was buying a bomber of something by Berkshire Brewing (Maibock, I think) and the bottle wouldn't ring up. Kid asks for a price check and the guy he sent comes back saying it's $8.99. This was coincidentally what they were selling their growlers of Burnside Brewing's Ten Penny Ale. I tell him just to not bother and he sends someone else to look. They couldn't find a tag anywhere so he ended up just charging me $1.29 for it. Score!

If any of you in California work at a retail or food service job where you are required to "make up" for mistakes out of your wages, please bm me immediately. This is illegal in, I believe, every state, but absolutely definitely most positively it is illegal in California. I have successfully prosecuted class actions against restaurant chains that were deducting mistakes from the wages of employees.

**California is an at-will employment state, so you can generally be fired whenever your employer wants. There are exceptions. One of the exceptions is that the employer can't fire you for refusing to allow him to break the law. For example: "You need to allow me to deduct this beer mistake from your pay." "No." "Then you're fired." The next response should be to file a lawsuit.

My wife bought be a couple Fruets at a very large liquor store when it came out. She obviously had no idea how much it should cost. The bottles wouldn't scan so the cashier "looked" up the bottles in their computer system. When I got home I asked how much the bottles were. My wife rattles off, "I think like $12.99". I did a double take and asked to see the reciept. Sure enough she rang up "Fruit Wine" or something like that at $12.99 a bottle.

And did your wife comment/complain that those bottles were too expensive for beer?

Nope, she has spent way more than that on bottles of wine and luckily she loves craft beer almost as much as I do. She just isn't as obsessed as I am. She covers the wine and I cover the beer. That way we always have a go to wine/beer at the ready. I'm truly blessed. :grinning:
