Getting ready for lunch so I figured it was time to try a beer my kids picked out for me for Father's Day(they liked the label). Thirsty dog new to FL...

This finally made its way out in my parts and, wow. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

I would swear to God I'm drinking a soda. It's weird, but it's...good(?). Tastes just like a root beer with a bit of a vanilla/licorice finish. Not bad.

Happy Father's Day to all the BA fathers out there. We're going to a Biergarten soon, so it should be a great day. Hope you all enjoy a great day.

Very nice pale ale. Flavors of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, strawberry, and pine; with moderate toast/biscuit malts. Good bitterness and crisp/sticky finish. This was from the lastest mix pack, still pretty fresh. Tastes better than I recall last year’s batch.

My go to amber ale as usual. Caramel/toast/biscuit malts and balanced citrus/herbal/spicy hop flavors with balanced bitterness. So delicious.

Last one in my fridge, really nice oatmeal stout. Robust flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toast, brown bread, and light smoke with some touches of dark fruit as well. Really well balanced bitter/sweet roasted malt flavors with a moderately creamy mouthfeel.

Incredible as usual. Huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, and piney/grassy hops with moderate honey/bready malt sweetness and a fairly sticky/resinous bitter finish. Such great balance while still remaining extremely hoppy in flavor. Need to go buy more, this was my last one. This one holds up extremely well for a DIPA of this ABV.

    Cheers!

Moving to the front porch to finish this as the woods are becoming mosquito infested after all the heavy rain. Hard to believe the next summer holiday is less than two weeks away. Now to ponder what to open for NBS. Have a great Sunday/Fathers Day/ Summer Solstice!

I started the day with a local-ish beer - A Hopwork Orange from Blue Mountain. I've visited the brewery/bar, but somehow missed this when there.

A nice beer. I've been digging Grapefruit Sculpin so much lately, I figured I stick with the citrus. The orange is there but doesn't kill the beer.

I keep seeing Space Cake on the shelves and fresh (this one is 6/8/15), so I keep buying it. A back-up in the frige as well.

Now, I'm about to boil some brats in the old SN Celebration hanging in the frige. Happy Fathers Day everyone.

Good morning and Happy Father's Day BAs! It's 10am here in Taos, NM and it's already in the 90s. This morning's beer is La Cumbre's "Project Dank":

Bottled 6/17/15, purchased at the brewery on 6/19/15. This is excellent! Earthy and really well balanced. Will review on Sunday thread. Cheers!
