Bell's - The Planets Series

Had Stones Master of Disguise yesterday. A blonde stout with coffee and cocoa nibs. Freaked me out at every sip with the amber color. Stouts should be dark. Pleasantly surprised though

 

Had Uranus last night and thought it was quite tasty!

Kinda sucks that the person who said they would get me out a couple bottles never shipped them out for whatever reason. Really wanted to try them but alas Ill have to continue to wait until I do, if and when that happens.

Anyone seen Uranus hit Florida stores?

 

Total Wine Fort Myers had quite a few bottles in last Thursday when I went. Also that Bells video is pretty funny.

 

I grabbed a sixer from TW fort myers and according to their site, they still have some left.

 

Man, I don't think I can commit to a whole six of this. Two 12oz is what I'll be willing to take home at first. Now Uranus on the other hand, I wish I'd grabbed a case (or it was reasonably affordable to do so, anyway).

 

My hope is that its going to actually taste damned good (despite that hodge podge description), so then I'd have enough to satisfy the craving for more.

 

Hey, where are you buying sixers of this series in A2? It's been all 2 bottle limits for pretty much the entire series at places I've gone.

 

I was just at the general store yesterday, and there seemed to be plenty of Uranus. I already had a 6 pack, so didn't need any more. They also had Jupiter!

 

Has anyone in Minnesota seen the Uranus?
My store doesn't have it yet and it was expected a week ago.
I'm just getting anxious because I really want to try it.

 

Nope. I've been keeping a pretty close eye on MN stores, but nothing yet. It always seems to take forever to get here!

 

Had a bottle at WOB last night in CBus. It was good don't get me wrong, but it was not as hoppy as I would have liked for something called a black double IPA. Was hoping for something like Dark Penance. Still good though, especially for 9.5%

 

Maybe they're putting you guys on delayed distro because of the Minnesota distributor's Black Note snafu last year.

 

Our rep always tells us "it takes awhile to get around the Lakes, apparently."
I'm hoping it'll be this week. Please oh please, this week.
I'm also getting sick of the phone calls.

 

Even here in Michigan, it takes us weeks to get some Founder's releases, even after they've started popping up as far awar as Florida, Missouri, etc., so yeah there's not a lot of rhyme or reason to it.

 

That's what I've been learning by coming here and looking at the threads. I'm not surprised.

What happened with Black Note last year? Just out of curiosity. As far as I know we've gotten the rest of the Planet series on a pretty regular schedule but who knows.

 

Talked to guy at beer store today. Uranus came and went as fast as Saturn. Mercury still sitting on shelves.

 

Anyone gotten Uranus around Hudson, Wi or Woodbury, Mn?! I've gotten every beer up to that one and I don't intend to not get every single one. Please help! Thanks beer bros!
