Psh. None of the above. The only 12-packs I've bought are Torpedo, and Denali Brewing's Twister Creek IPA. Well-worth the ~$16 too.

That was indeed my go to beer from the time I was legal until the time I moved away from home and out of New York. There was no distribution to Texas in those days. I chose Miller High Life because it was considered by my peers to be the 'good stuff'. That's what you brought with you when trying to impress the ladies . If it was just me hanging with my friends, then Genny Cream was it.

Since I don't follow Pabst, for me it's a little surprising to find PBR on the $9/twelver list much less $7/twelver since it became the beer-o-choice for the hipster chic crowd about six years ago. I wrongly assumed the price jumped. Way to keep it real, Pabst.

PBR is cheap, now the 60s formula Schlitz hits the $10 mark here, not a clue how or why on this one.

Busch Copper. Had that recently in the Outer Banks and I gotta say, I liked it a good bit.

Do you think the beer tastes bad, or do you just dislike AB InBev/MillerCoors/Pabst?

Not to be an asshat, but I wouldn't drink any of those beers. The calories/taste ratio just doesn't pass the "into the mouth" threshold for me.

Thankfully my palate is not so refined that I can't enjoy a good old cheap beer every now and then.

Had to pick MGD as I still have probably drank more of that than any other beer and I'm pretty sure I haven't had one in like 10 years! Oh the fuzzy fuzzy memories!

I can't say I hate the company(s) just the taste of their beers. Especially Bud (and light) and miller (especially high life). One beer ruins my night if I chug it I throw it up.

Can't say I hate Pabst its not terrible but really its too expensive if we are talking cheap get drunk beer. Had Pabst in the bottle and found it quite drink able.

Can't believe people posted Old Milwaukee I swear when they posted that scare about the antifreeze in "fireball whiskey" they should have investigated that beer. Tons of solvents.

How are multinationals and American thing (see Ben and Jerry's)? Wouldn't global multinationals be a global multinational thing?

If I had a gun to my head I'd choose pbr, but I don't want 12 of any beer on that list.

Big Flats from Walgreens if I'm really scrounging. Bud full flavor if I want to piss off both craft and "normal beer " friends. I get to hear both ""I can't drink that heavy stuff" and "I see you taught the dog to pee in bottles "

I should have been more specific. The embracing and codling of them, though not unique to America, is, in my opinion, a hallmark of our culture.

Henry Weinhard in that era (mid-late 80s, based on the fact that MGD national release was 1986) was a product of G. Heileman, then the 4th largest US brewing company, with an annual barrelage of around 15 million. Not quite "micro beer" by most definitions.
