I opted for an expensive bottle of gin over a BA Bigfoot on Father's Day. I haven't seen the BA Bigfoot anywhere. It's a bit pricey, so I chose something I can drink over time rather than in one or two sittings. Still bummed.

Trying to trade some New England hops for a Bell's Saturn & Central Waters BW, but my hop luck is non-existent currently!

$ on Hand and Seal put me off. Haven't tried but that's a big nut to experiment

Have not had many of the style, but off the top of my head the ones I have enjoyed

    Olde School
    BCBBW
    BBA Flying Mouflan
    Insanity

I didn't enjoy regular Mouflan at all (only have had it once, on draft, and it was after trying the BBA version)

I have these in my "cellar": Clown Shoes Pierre Ferrand Billionaire (English), Jackie O's BBA Wood Ya Honey (Wheatwine), Jackie O's BBA Brick Kiln, Hyouko Yashiki No Mori Brewery Samurai Barley Ale (English), Avery Samael's, COAST Old Nuptial (American). Totally forgot about Old Nuptial, but that IS my favorite American Barleywine.

2 years old is the sweet spot for Sucaba, as previously mentioned.
Have to wait a bit to try BCBBW and Omega Point at 2 years.

I really like Old Ruffian as a straight up (non-BA) barleywine.
If barrels are in play, there are 5-6 really good ones that are all approximately just as good as one another. Bligh's, MOAS, BCBB, Sucaba, etc.

This is drinking beautifully at the moment. Had one a couple weekends ago.

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine, specifically the 2012 (had some last week) and barrel-aged. Any year is great though!

One of the best I've had (besides Bigfoot) was Old Marley Barleywine from Hooker. It came in a blue swing-top bottle. I still have a bottle of the 2004 in my cellar, and maybe a 2005 too.

In case you're wondering what I am waiting for, January 31st is my last alimony payment and I plan on getting hammered in celebration.
