Pinthouse Pizza Fully Adrift

    I went on Saturday night. Fully Adrift was worth the trip. Pizza was pretty good.

    Pizza is good for Austin which doesn't have any great options. Very affordable too. $6.50 - $8 for a personal 10" pizza. Basically half the price of overpriced Stanley's, and I think they make better pies too.

    You and I must have widely different taste in pizza. I like Pinthouse as a brewery and visit frequently but the pizza needs some work. Too doughy. Sauce is under-seasoned. Great salads though!

    And to say Austin doesn't have great options? Maybe a few years ago. But, not anymore: House, Little Deli, VIA 313, Buffalina, Pieous, Stanley's, Home Slice, Backspace....

    IMHO Pieous > All of the above, with Fully Adrift FTW.

    Do these guys fill outside growlers, or any rules against certain types of growlers (swing top, german style, etc.)?

    No rules on outside growlers. I've never seen them refuse any type of growler, but they don't enjoy filling the narrow neck (think whole foods, 750 ML style swing top) and might tell you, lol. But they'll still fill it.

    We will fill any growler as long as it is clean :wink: The narrow necks do cause us a fair bit of loss, and we are exploring ways to help minimize that with our particular draft system, which is why we do not prefer them. We will happily fill them however and if a bartender gives you a hard time let me know and I will set them straight!

    Took my dad to PHP on Sunday for him to try the pizza and Fully Adrift. He was blown away with how awesome it was

    Appreciate the response. Would you anticipate that Fully Adrift will be on tap Saturday? I'll be in town and, based on this thread, have to try it.

    We will have Fully Adrift on tap Saturday in addition to a couple other treats for the Jaguar Shark bottle release - "Ryed the Lightning" the base beer for the 2016 Jaguar Shark that is currently aging and "2015 Nitro Shark."

    There are a lot of 6 month old IPAs up here, if that works. :wink: I just moved up here from Houston and there haven't been many bottle releases so my stock is low. Thanks for reaching out though.

    There is something definitely wrong with the Fully Adrift batch they have on tap right now.
    Seem like it was missing...all of it's flavor.
    No hop. No smell.
    Diff recipe entirely.
