Was my plan too, brother. Then...I finished my run, stopped by the liquor store on a whim just to "browse" and the funniest thing happened: this 6 pack of Sucks was staring me in the face.

5 minutes later: At home and 1st Sucks was open.

    Reviews:

This was a delicious kolsch style. Aromas and flavors of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, biscuit, and light honey; with moderate herbal, grass, and light peppery hops; with some earthy yeast notes. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness gives great balance to the malts; with overall well balanced flavors of malt and hops with good robustness. Restrained yeast fruitiness as expected for the style. Very smooth and somewhat crisp; had a bit of bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. This was quite a nice surprise to me. Absolutely spot on, really enjoyable.

Really nice C hopped Amber ale. Aromas and flavors of bright grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, and piney hops; with moderate caramel, toast, biscuit, and light chocolate malts with herbal and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/grassy bitter finish. Good malt/bitterness balance with a bit more hop forward overall on flavors. Very smooth and moderately sticky hop oil mouthfeel with light creaminess. Definitely a hoppy amber; probably over the IBUs for the style, but I really have no complaints about it. Really enjoyable.

I literally bought every Hideout bomber I could find last week(with still more out there I know exist), so I have 10 new bombers to tackle now. This was really good rye pale ale. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon zest, and light pine; with moderate light caramel, toasted rye bread, and light nutty malt notes with some herbal and floral hop/hemp notes. Balanced pine/grassy bitter finish; with balanced hop and malt flavors. Really nice complexity of super tropical hop flavors as well. Smooth and crisp finish; light-medium carb but not a bad thing at all. Very enjoyable stuff.

Big fan of the "self-serve flextime clawback" thing myself...

Getting stoked even though it's a month away, we're takin' Thing 1 & 2 to their first U2 concert at the Garden in July (and their first "big league" concert), really looking forward to my boys experiencing "da boyz" for the first time!! Dimed on the surround sound is the Slane Castle concert in Dublin...good time being had by all. So, poppin' Heady #2 for the evening!!

It's easy drinking and packs some solid flavor, I like to throw some of these in the cooler for a summer BBQ. Of course, the non-craft fans dig past them in the cooler in search of the mass produced stuff that just isn't there.

I know, I know...awful pour. Still tastes like beard though :-)

Tuesday WBAYDN is rolling along nicely, I'm seeing some great pics, brews, stories. Great old video game consoles. Hell, great everything!

Tunes..I've got a few this time. These guys are perennially underrated & totally destroyed it live:

Speaking of bands that (used to) kill it live:

    Absolutely brutal.
Aw...one more...gotta wash the taste of last night out of my mouth :-)

    ...best band nobody knows about...ever.

Anywhoo...I reckon I'll be here a bit. As always- Drink up & drink on, advocates!

Just one of the many beers I've had tonight. It's our 26th wedding anniversary today but we won't really celebrate it 'til this Friday.
