My notes say the pepper and cinnamon were light when it was fresh, I find Huna the least spice dependent of the spiced stouts

It's not just their hoppy stuff that's good. Thanks @dwmetsfan13 for the long awaited #pgw as well as the beer!

Since we literally only had two local breweries for 7million people up until about 2-3 years ago, I'd say it's the never ending new beers I can get trading vs. the "slim" selection of locals.

There is a small list of beers that I could drink multiples of for an extended period of time, and maybe only one or two of those locals (Temptress, Legion and Deep Ellum IPA). I NEED the influx of new, whether I like them or not. Just my personality whereas I need different to keep me interested (except for my wife, cause she's hot).

Have to share my day...... Found out a localish store I frequent when I'm in the area for work was having a lottery today for some sours (19 total Cantillon from Fou, LPF, Iris, etc plus some 3F and Tilquin). Odds were pretty good as there were about 60 people (3 bottles per person, limit one Cantillon). Started the drawing at 5:30p. First ticket drawn....pause as a couple walked in late as they closed all entrants at 5:30....they gave them each a ticket and placed into the drawing. The drawing continues and many winners are called including the couple (both) that came in late. Congrats to them.....Fast forward and my number is called (21st). Just out of Cantillon, Framboos, etc...
Question is... How would you feel about this?

I'd be kinda pissed off, but not enough to complain about it. At least it was random and not them cutting in line.

Wasn't too hard but brewery only from listermann figured the dude was from Cincy. I saw the feedback from enochase if that's who it was I know him and the world has just shrunk.

More coming tomorrow.... then I'll be on a little hiatus for a few weeks...I think... except my AA box, which will be on it's way out next week. Wanted to get one more WANT for my target via trade... does he know who he is yet?

Trade box in from @JNForsyth, whole bunch of awesomeness here!

No idea if they'll actually be any good, but the Opera Fudge Stout and Setzer's Smokehaus 7 were the main part of the trade. Opera Fudge and Lebanon Bologna are strong traditions within my wife's family, so can't wait to try! A bottle of each will be going to my brother-in-law, a fellow BA.

Avery Uncle Jacob's Stout and Great Lakes BA Blackout Stout are both huge wants of mine and so happy you included them! We have distro from both breweries (and have started getting in some of the small format Avery beers), but Uncle Jacob's is too high ABV to be sold in NC (15% max) and BA Blackout never made it to NC. BA Blackout occasionally hits draft in Minneapolis, but I've never been able to chase it down.

    Thanks again @JNForsyth!

Well seems like you cant just trade with anyone in this group anymore. Every transaction is more of a mini bif.

Glad everything made it, did you get the Opera Fudge as well, was on top when I sent out the box but may have settled in the box in transit.

This is gonna be a fun weekend. Finally going to "properly" open some Gose tomorrow (hopefully at least) after lunch at Duclaw (the beer may be mediocre with the exception of retribution, but their food is goddamn amazing), and then a share on Saturday with some locals and some non-locals. I'll probably have a ton to catch up on when I get home Sunday, gonna try to keep up throughout the weekend though...
