I certainly agree with you and @JNForsyth on the point, I just always worry that my box will disappoint. Either they've had something I'm sending, or it isn't a style they're a fan of, or they wanted something (or would have wanted something if they looked for a minute or two) that I could get and they just didn't ask. At some point I just do a bit of research to look at wants and hads (checking untappd as well, though that's a bit more difficult), and then send a box that I'd be happy about getting. No one's complained yet

 

Reading the local police reports (always looking for previous employees being busted for silly shit) and came across the jewel. It made me laugh really hard:

Officers found that there were three large stereos playing three different songs at full volume in different parts of the apartment. This was disturbing other residents in the neighboring apartments. The resident playing the music, Mr. KOHLER, was heavily intoxicated. KOHLER has been cited several times in the past few months by police for similar intoxicated behavior. KOHLER was again issued a summary Non-Traffic citation for Disorderly Conduct.

Less than an hour later, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 12:09 am, West Shore Regional Police were again dispatched to KOHLER’s residence. KOHLER called 911 dispatch and reported an active armed robbery at his residence. He reported that several white males with guns had just robbed him of hundreds of dollars and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Officers responded to the scene but could locate no one fleeing the area. Officers made contact with a still intoxicated KOHLER. When asked to describe the subjects who had robbed him, KOHLER handed the Non-Traffic citation he was issued to an officer and stated that the men with guns who had robbed him were police. He stated that every time he gets another citation it robs him of hundreds of dollars. KOHLER was upset at receiving another fine and wanted to prank the police.

Heading up to Pizza Boy soon for a growler and a crowler. Maybe a slice as well.

 

Picked them up in NC as well. Haven't seen the Tectum (though doesn't mean it isn't out there, just not at my store), but the Fortuna, Raspberry Sour, and Insula definitely are.

So not just a random occurrence, looks like they saw pretty decent distro.

Sweet jebus. I think KOHLER is going to be in for a good time. Misuse of the 911 system will get you more than a hundred dollar fine...

 

We didn't see any of the Raspberry here but I am hearing that will be an annual release and hopefully will see a future batch

My second daughter is due to arrive on July 30th, 2015 and it seems like a trend to run a LIF regarding the birth of one’s child, here is my take on it. The person who correctly guesses the most questions below will be the winner of my LIF. All questions will be based on the day that my daughter is born:

1. Will at least 3 of the following teams (Orioles, Tigers, Astros, Mets, Reds, Padres) win their game on that date (all may not play on that day and in case of a doubleheader, they just need to win one)? No
2. Will any games go into extra innings? No
3. How many total homeruns will be hit? 0 - 11, 12 – 17, 18 – 22, 23 -27, 28 – 33, 33+
4. Will any pitcher record more than 10 strikeouts? Yes
5. Will there be a game with no homeruns hit? Yes
6. Will a player that shares my daughter’s first and last initials hit a homerun? No
7. Will a player that shares my daughter’s first and last initials record a win or a save? No
8. How many total runs will be scored? Correct guess will get 3 points, the five closest guesses will get 1 point each. 69 runs
9. How many total hits will there be? A correct guess will get 3 points, the five closest guesses will get 1 point each. 212
10. Will there be a grand slam? No

If she is born during the All-Star break, the above questions will be null and void and the below questions will be used to determine the winner:

1. Which team will win the All-Star game? American or National
2. Total number of homeruns hit during the derby? 0-55, 56-65, 66-75, 76-87, 88-95, 96-102, 103+
3. League from which the derby champion is from? American or National
4. Will any Detroit Tigers players have an extra-base hit? No
5. What position will the MVP play during the game? Pitcher, Infield, Outfield, DH
6. Number of runs scored? 0 -7, 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20+
7. Will there be a save or blown save? Yes
8. Will there be at least 2 homeruns hit by one team in the same inning? No

For tie-breaker purposes, what will be the date and time (EST) of my daughter’s birth? July 28th 7pm.

Its in general, to be honest Ive it to other people, sent more than I agreed too, @NickyPogs just did it to me, said just send a couple local stouts and he bombs me with BCBS, Parabola and Pipeworks etc. Just seems nice to be part of a group that isn't just looking to GET GET GET, and gives.

 

I really enjoyed the Raspberry. Haven't tried Fortuna or Insula yet, though did pick up two bottles of each so.

 

Good to hear. I was reading it in a different voice and thought you were being negative. I agree that I love the group in here and, while drinking beer is always fun, always look forward to pr0n pics to see how much a target liked their box.

Thats the power of the internet, takes a passive positive and spins it negative. LOL, wasn't trying to be negative, just an overall view of how we treat each other. There is no simple small transaction, even when I have done pickmeupbro, and I send paypal and shipping labels for the beers, people in here will through in extras on stuff like that. Honestly, I feel like Im going to bow out of most other future BIFs like Stouts just to be able to focus on hooking this group up. Besides 12 days BIF, not sure there is anything else I enjoy doing.

 

I believe that I'm not on the schedule Sunday but I'll confirm that tonight. If that's the case then I'm good anytime that works for ya'll.

 

Yes it is a sour Gose (seems slightly redundant) and supposedly there is #properglassware to go with it. I'm about to find out!
