No longer doing my "Green Flash not calling the shots" shtick.

That was sooner than I expected...

I'm looking forward to checking the new pub out in a couple weeks, once it's not the new thing that everyone has to rush to. As long as the food is still good, I'll take my chances on timing a trip up for the weekend after a fresh batch of Nelson hits.

I just happened to find out things, things I didn't think would happen. I don't think being one of the asterisk ringleaders will serve any good.

 

Indeed. Good thing they got that asterisk thing fixed, that Shift+F8 key combo can get sticky sometimes. Would be a real shame to have to get rid of a perfectly good old keyboard over something so trivial, eh?

 

I don't understand why Green Flash got so upset about the asterisk. The asterisk didn't stand for "inferior product". It stood for "brewed at Green Flash". Green Flash being so upset about letting the consumer know that they brewed the beer tells me they don't think very much of themselves or the beer they are brewing. Maybe the asterisk went up to give Green Flash the credit they deserve for brewing such kick ass beers*. Why assume it was meant as a slam? Bottles need to be properly labeled as to where it beer brewed. Why shouldn't a draft board?

*No, I couldn't keep a straight face while typing that.

Green Flash fixed the asterisk issue, you no longer need to worry about differentiating between Alpine Nelson and GF Nelson when you head up the hill.

 

To be fair, the asterisk that they had on tap at the new pub yesterday (and it *was* the asterisk) wasn't too far off target. Still had that Green Flash finish, though.

 

Was just at the new pub with the family. Awesome experience. Food and beer was top notch. Missed the tiny charm of the old place but new spot is really functional and had a great vibe.

So kiwi Herman and chez monieux were on today. I'm guessing no chez monus though.

 

Chez Monieux was on tap yesterday and Kiwi was on the day before.

 

Damn. My uncle is a big fan of Alpine, and didn't know about the opening or these tappings. Hopefully, something cool will get tapped next week.
