    Its coming gentlemen!

Just saw this posted on Peerless Beverage's facebook page. I'm assuming they will start announcing other wholesalers they sign deals with soon.

I'm very excited. I had a few of their offerings in Maryland and they were all very good.

    Any other news about this?

As far as I know, only Peerless has signed them in NJ. So that means just a few counties in N. NJ.

Edit: Mid-September is when we should start to see them.

I wouldn't call Sweetwater below average, their IPAs are quite good - especially fresh. Their regular IPA and Hop Hash are great, and Johnny Hash was phenomenal. I, for one, welcome them to NJ and look forward to buys some cans/bottles!

Sweet Water isn't the greatest brewery(they're still good imo) but when I was in Florida a few years back they had 6 pack cans for $5.99, not sure what the price in Jersey will end up being but hopefully it's around the same.

I had their IPA on draft in Nashville and really enjoyed it. A few months later my in laws brought me a case from Florida and I was really disappointed. The case was two months old, so I know that didn't help.

I will grant you that Johnny Hash was excellent (and 420 Fest was pretty good too). That makes TWO out of...how many beers? Like I said, below average.

Heard the launch will be much like Boulevard's. Peerless will be the only distributor for a few months until they sign on with others.

Unfortunately, no. It's a shame because they put out some stellar stuff. Not all of it is great, but they have some great ones (Tank 7, Saison-Brett, Love Child series)

Tank7 is fantastic, as have been Love Child 4 & 5. The Calling isn't half bad.

I buy Boulevard. and I drink it. and as mentioned above, there are some really great beers in the lineup. Tank 7 is great, and I think the Calling is better than half good.

Guess I just lost some street cred.

Boulevard is a welcome addition to NJ but their core lineup could be a bit better(tank 7 is great though). Stores near me that don't carry much craft usually get some Boulevard stuff which I buy when I don't have time to go out of my way to other stores with a better selection. I'm thinking Sweetwater beers will come in clutch for similar situations.

i do but usually just tank 7, plus saison brett and most of the other stuff in the smokestack series , plus love child

not sure if ill be rushing to pick up anything from sweetwater. im not a huge fan.

If The Calling is only half good I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Do you guys even like beer?

Nice! I used to love the sweetwater I could get in Gainseville FL. Their Exodus porter is a solid beer

have literally never even seen a single bottle

not that it matters, there are 6+ world class DIPAs available from NY/NJ breweries, why would I buy Boulevard's?

Sweetwater makes some very good beer for everyday drinking. They don't get the respect they deserve from the beer geek community at large because they don't have any ultra-rare, have to know someone to buy, secret password, overly hopped or overly hyped beers.

I have been to Atlanta 5 or 6 times in last couple of years for work. Sweetwater is pretty good, you can count on just about every place that serves beer having the IPA or Pale Ale available, so in places where there is not typically craft it is a good option. If it was in New York, I would never buy it, my guess is it would collect dust. In the NY/NJ area where world class beers seem to be popping up every day, this news fall into the category of "who cares."
