Lite Beers (yep, I said it)

Second on the Local's. I don't pick it up often (usually one six pack during the summer) but sometimes I find myself wanting nothing but. Plus, family who look at me sideways for enjoying a Spruce Pilsner will still enjoy it.

 

Found this out the hard way last year. First day at a rental house up north with nothing to drink and a nice, warm afternoon. The only thing in the fridge at that point were a couple of Miller Lites the people before us had left. I crack a can and took a walk around the property, surprised how decent it was, certainly better than I remembered from sneaking them out of my uncles' cooler years and years ago. Got halfway through the can when it got warm (I'm a slow sipper) and suddenly I'm drinking a Hellhound's piss.

 

I drink Busch and have no problem admitting it

 

Lite beer sucks.

 

I don't always drink lite beer, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis. I know it's probably not a light beer, but it tastes "light" to me and I drink it occasionally. Miller Lite (COLD cans) is OK as well.

Not to be an a$$, but I love PBR and High Life. Just about any well prepared gose, or berliner-weis, also seem to work. .I go for taste... calories are for
Nutritional Aides.

 

If all I truly want is refreshment from thirst, I drink water. There just isn't a niche for lite beer in my life right now.

 

Went to a ballgame yesterday and had a couple of Bud Lights. They were perfect for the situation.

 

What would a lite imperial stout look like?

 

Hamm's Special Light is okay, but Special Export Light is my favorite by a long shot.

 

I usually have 1 craft beer a night and a few Miller Lites immediately after... I'm poor, and a $22 36-pack of Miller Lite is just so damn worth it..

 

I'll have a couple of Miller Lites after some darker or hoppier beers. It's a great palette cleanser!

 

The only one I've really tried and tolerate is Sam Adams....still not great quality and I probably won't drink it again. If I want something Lite I won't drink beer.

 

This is about as "lite" as I go.....nice on a warm day, if chilled way down!

 

Yuengling Light. I actually prefer it to regular Yuengling.

 

I'm certainly not above drinking AALs but I have noticed I'm drinking far less of them these days. I'll still on occasion grab a dirty thirty of some Miller Lite since it is my wife's goto schwag beer but ultimately I'd rather be drinking a Session IPA or a Gose if I want to keep it reasonable.

 

I like Molson and Labatt.

 

Had one at a Phillies game. It was pretty good, bought it because it was the best they had at that particular stand.
