Urban tap supposedly had that cbs for a while now. Anyone have any clue when they plan on tapping it?

Those who dismiss turbid beers as inferior to clear bright ales regardless of taste, smell, or mouthfeel. It seems like a lot of people nowadays.

Right, but I'm wondering which "bigger craft brewers" you're seeing "attack" cloudy ales produced by smaller brewers. I think I've heard Jamil Zainasheff remark on it, but I wouldn't consider Heretic a big player. Whom have you seen doing this?

Not sure. We will probably see this stuff play out in the future.

    Couldn't resist jumping in here.

Seems like there has been a slight agreement on a difference between "hop haze" or cloudy, versus murky or muddy. To me a beer that's hazy but translucent is totally different from one that is so murky I cant see anything at all through it. I'm no brewer, and I'm just guessing here, but maybe these types of haze are cause by different factors?

I guess maybe I'm different than many here, but the appearance of a beer definitely makes a difference to me. It's not make or break, but it becomes part of my overall impression of the beer. They say judging food is a 5 sense experience, I don't think a drink is any different. Every detail about a beer can give hints about how it's made, or what's in it.

My favorite IPAs are definitely "hazy" but not murky. The beers I've had that have been extremely murky generally have a kind of off bitterness to them.

It's like that argument about the tomato versus the other tomato

Didn't get to try this because I'm allergic to peanut butter. This makes me feel not as bad about it, though.

It has been happening every Monday for the past few months, just doesn't get promoted every time I think. Some weeks are a little thin with around 4-8 people. A couple weeks have been packed with over 20. I'll be going tonight with my wife and kid, anyone that has an interest should definitely come out.

I don't understand the Hop Farm branding at all. I think it should be called Cherry Farm because all they seem to put out are different fruit (esp. cherry) beers and no IPA's?

Believe it's Margot with cherries added.

They were gonna bottle it with brett, but decided against it...so I'm assuming then that what is in that bottle is the same beer that I had before but just a new batch. It's a kettle-"soured" "imperial" Berliner (aka - American Wild) with cherries added. 4.5 might be a bit high looking back, but it's certainly north of a 4 for me. Not very sour...more so funky...and was pretty cherry forward.
