They had this at Whole Foods Wexford as well, grabbed one on Saturday. Figure it's worth a try.

They put it on tap last week or the week before at Shadyside. I was hoping that the bottle was better.

It doesn't look like they put 15 layers of wax on it either so you won't have to break the bottle neck to get the beer out

Yeah the French Toast'd was ridiculous to try to open.

I like the wax look, but some places really need to get a grip on how much they're using. I opened a waxed Bruery bottle over the weekend and I almost needed a blow torch to open it.

I think for the Cinnamon Rolled and the French Toasted looked really cool and they added to the overall appeal of the bottle. But to BHD's point, I still would have drank them both without it.

French Toasted was the absolute hardest bottle I have ever tried to open. Almost cut my hand off with a cleaver.

Yeah, their waxed bottles are almost impossible to get to the cap without using fire. It also doesn't help that their beers are awful.

Must be something Terrapin learned from Sweetwater. Years ago, I tried to slice my thumb off while opening a waxed 1L swingtop bottle of Sweetwater Happy Ending.

That would have been an ironic beer name to have lost an appendage over.

Hot damn, actually found a 7 year old picture of the attempted murderer. I had forgotten that it was foiled over wax...

It's on the right. Interesting pile of beer there.

...to introduce another layer of danger - potential foil papercut. That beer sounds like the fucking temple of doom to try to get into...

What in the world would possess someone to wax a swing top?

The temple of doom seemed relatively easy to enter compared with escaping the temple of doom.... alive...

I don't know man. There's a reason why tons of breweries wax caps and you don't see waxed swing tops.

If anyone wants the discount price for the shubrew but doesn't want a case, let me know. I'll have a few extra. 1-5 bottles depending on how it cloudy it is.
