@mikebezek - is your dad on BA? How in the world are you letting your pops show you up in new brewery knowledge??

Can't see it lasting. Dude was way too much of an addict. He'll be on the smack again.

Disagree. Thought the '11 was still quite rough. The '05 was more like a raspberry port. Still only kinda like it, but I think it's as smooth as it's gonna get.

05 was smoother but Like the heat from the 11 they will never mellow out but enjoyed both of them

I liked the both for sure. Liked the more intense raspberry of the 11. The 05 was tasting its age and less fruity but still a good beer

Man, in my defense, looking at the map on their Facebook he could literally hit the brewery with a rock from his front porch.

@kbuzz lets talk. Apparently I named Strawbretty but have no recollection. Probably around the time Steve had his cider on...or maybe it was Hyer-PA...

Hey...anyone else have Humboldt Range this weekend?? If so, what did you think?

I thought it pushed the local boundaries for citrus first IPAs. I've never tasted grapefruit like that in a beer (Sculpin Grapefruit cheats.) But...I have to say that the back end has a strong astringent effect, almost like I wiped the back of my throat with a paper towel. Perhaps that finish would improve with conditioning of some sort? And where is the alcohol? I drink this and it sure finds me, but it's not an element in the mouth. What this reminds me of most is a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, from back when I drank wine. Overall delicious! In any case, it's an interesting beer for my palate. Individual mileage may vary...
