Death By Coconut at OB in NC

    So, any North Carolinians been witness to Death by Coconut cans showing up in the Brevard or Asheville area as of yet? Contemplating a drive up this weekend from Upstate S.C., this is one of my all time favorite beers.

    Can't speak for those locations but the Tasty Weasel Taproom in OB JUST released these cans today. The sales associate I bought them from said that this was pretty much the first release of the beer. Still, sounds like they are making the rounds.

    I just called the tasting room in Brevard--the girl I talked to said they don't have DbC in right now, and didn't know when it would be there...

    Yeah, me too... Was planning to drive down this afternoon. I'm not too far away--just a 45-50 minute, nice, relaxing drive through Pisgah National Forest--but wanted to make sure DbC was there before heading down. Bartender I talked to said the only way to find out when it comes in is to keep calling and asking about it. I'll keep checking in, will post here when it becomes available.

    Awesome, thanks. I'm about 55 minutes away, going NW and a nice drive as well. It'll be worth the trip, if some 19 ouncers come back to the Upstate with me!

    Just called again and they're getting DbC in with today's shipment. Just in cans, not on draught (so no crowlers; 19.2 oz cans will be $7 each). I didn't think to ask if it comes in today how long it will be before they're available to purchase... Anybody have any idea?

    Nice Ped, thanks for updating this thread! Just did my due diligence to help out, and called with your question. They said they should be there this afternoon, and they will go on sale today as well.

    I had a buddy ride out to OB in Brevard yesterday. There was a two can limit on purchases. Have not heard about distro yet.

    *To clarify, they said no distro in NC. It is definitely being distro'd in CO.
