I agree with this, yes it is a stout, but I wouldn't want it to be a big full bodied stout. It has an amazing flavor profile that just reeks of coffee and chocolate deliciousness and is a stout you can drink a bunch of, which is always a plus because I there are times I want to drink a few beers and want them to be lighter in abv and easier to drink and that leaves you usually limited to not having something from the "darker" (or "stoutier") spectrum of things.

To further satisfy the curiosity about lurkers that arose earlier in the thread, I'm gonna finally out myself. Been observing for quite some time here (meaning the old thread, as well), with a couple posts here and there. Have had plenty of laughs from this thread, so thanks. Hope to engage some more. Cheers, jagoffs.

Lurker/lurking always seems like a perverted term to me. For some reason when someone mentions that they have been "lurking" I envision a big hairy rapist hiding in the bushes.

Anyway, thanks for coming out of the bushes! :grinning:

Just saw that the Pens traded for Phil Kessel. I don't know the salary details, but that's a big salary to take on.

To make this post beer related, what's everyone drinking for the holiday weekend?

The party I'm going to on Friday is going to have a keg of Rock Bottom's Summer Honey Ale (?) or something like that. Has anyone had this? Any good? Regardless, I will probably go rogue and BMOB.

I thought you posted a bunch? Or maybe not? Either way. We need to get together sometime and have a beer. Cheers!

@STG228 was talking about it this morning, while we were talking about the beers we shared last night.

I'm probably going to be sticking to something a little more lighter / outdoorsy. I wish more local places canned their stuff. You're looking at around $40 for two growlers, and I know that won't get me through the day.

    Agreed!

I might hop on a growler of Moonstomp before the weekend hits, trying to think of what else i'd want to enjoy in this nice weather.

A couple buddies are coming over tonight and I'm opening One, alongside a few other beers. I actually made it over to @brewgentlemen for the first time on Sunday. Such a cool spot. The guys working there were very friendly and informative, and the beer was not a let down. Filled growlers of Akamai and Lemon Drop Saison, both of which were very enjoyable. Even got a taste of a concoction consisting of Akamai and the Apis mango habanero mead put together by the gentleman pouring the beers.

I know I'm late to the game in praising these guys, but... whatever.
