Ah you just don't get NW snark. Don't be so sensitive. It's only beer (can't believe I said that)

You should definitely consider not feeling offended... unless you think you might be.

Dude. At least put a winking smiley face on that comment so people know you aren't serious.

Im sorry. I didn't realize that someone else handled the Pliny allocations now.
Who should folks ask for when they call?

I am only snotty before 8 am and I just went to the bathroom so I thought it would be safe to respond.

When RR pulled out of Washington, I was less bummed about Pliny (which I believe we have transcended) than I was about losing availability to their sours.

So yeah....... if you show up at my door with something ending in 'ation', we can go shoot stuff off my back porch and later we can watch reruns of Portlandia. Because Pliny is OVER!!!!

Wow, whoever gets offended or upset about asking about beers from elsewhere really needs to take themselves less seriously. And I'm saying this as a huge Oregon SNOB, I currently live overseas but have held two Oregon themed beer parties for my friends. I've had family members bring beer over when they visited and searched online and at stores all around my area finding beers for it and have introduced my friends to over 4o different Oregon beers (not easy to do when living in Japan) my friends make fun of me for how much I talk about Oregon beer and the breweries I worked at back home, at the biggest bottle shop in my area the workers don't speak English but when I walk in they yell "mista Portland!"

That being said, I'm visiting home for the first time in 4 years this winter and I googled looking to see where to get Pliny when I return, beer is expensive here (about 10 a pint for craft beer) and especially rare beer, I've seen Pliny twice, once in a spendy gift pack, and once alone for 40$ a bottle. I've never had it and I heard it was good so I figured I'd try to get a bottle to bring back (along with the suitcase and a half I'm planning on filling)

If you live in Oregon and you are at all upset, even in the slightest, about someone asking about getting out of state beer then you're really missing the point of beer culture, or you just have a huge inferiority complex about Oregon, which I can understand if you grew up here and everyone made fun of our little hick state. But seriously, come on man, lighten up.

I really hope that when I return home that I don't get this attitude, but having lived in Gresham for much of my adult Oregon life I am kind of used to nonsense from the city folk
