All good points men. And from my guys in the Midwest where this hails from they would agree. The two six packs I recieved were personally picked up at FFF and Fed Ex'd to me next day. I had fresh specimens for sure as Citra based Ales do not hold up at all, look at Stone 10., it blew it's Citra wad after one week. I was gifted big time and I will say that every bottles was Citra fresh, beautifully colored and not a bit of malty sweetness. Best I have ever had for an APA.

    Cheers.....

You nailed it man. KRBC Citra is way up there for me. Last release I was lucky to get four bottles. I respect beer , ha ha, so like RR asks I drink fresh. To me there is nothing in the world of craft like the first deep sinus drag on a super fresh bottle of Citra. Day two it's still amazing, day three less so and by day four I'm longing for day one.

    Cheers.....

I agree.. It was very week done, but think zd carries much more flavor.

ZD carries tremendous flavor for sometime. True, fresh from the brewery is fucking amazing..but even after a month or two it still is a fantstic APA. Bought two cases, drank a pint at the brewery and finished the first case within the first month. Even two months later it still drank very nicely. Not as much of a hop smack in the face but still REALLY good. This inclination towards still warm from the tap or nothing is a bit ridiculous.

It's still fine. Super-fresh, Zombie Dust is worthy of its praise. After two weeks, it's a good APA, no better than several I have ready access to in the Bay Area.

Hey I'm rolling back through Santa Rosa this weekend, going camping up north. . . any Row 2 still left at Bottle Barn?

If there were, would you still want it? It's a month old at this point...

I was there Tuesday and there was none left. They sometimes get some on Friday, but like Stupac said, it'll be the same batch.

Just stopped in and they had a bunch, but I didn't check the date. They had Pliny bottled 7-25.

I had a bottle last weekend and it was still pretty good. Comparing to my review notes from draft, it's holding up well enough.

Saw a tweet that a store in SD got bottles in this morning. Would these be a month old too?

SD R2 is still 6/26 and still tastes fine.

But not as good as it does super-fresh, based on prior experience.

Pretty sure that's the only batch that there will be. My store in the Bay Area has had 3 shipments of the 6/26 batch.

    Still delicious.

I don't stress on the PtE "rule". =)

Not a rule. The Row 2 growler I got was just much better than the bottles I managed to get my hands on two weeks ago. That much simcoe just doesn't hold up.

Yeah, stopped in, picked some up, they were amazing as always. Row 2 has plenty of staying power. Liked these bottles even more than the ones I bought 2 weeks earlier.

Fair enough. The last bottles I drank seemed pretty noticeably off from the first, but that could have been my imagination, or that slight of a decline doesn't matter much to you.

I've had about a dozen pints of it the last 2 weeks, there was one that seemed a little off two weeks ago, but other than that, just massively enjoyable.

I'm pretty easy to satisfy ipa wise, not too many that aren't 95% of what they were on day 1, on day 90.

Drank an Indica ipa from around May while camping this week, while I could tell it wasn't uber fresh, it was enough to leave me satisfied. So yeah, a slight decline really doesn't matter to me. . . I grew up drinking Meister Brau and Old Milwaukee. Not gonna complain about month old Row 2 . . .
