Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

haskells are normally a good spot for the noble stars series. seems like most of them have 3-5 of them on the shelf. dawn of aurora, black cherry, and brunette are almost a given.

 

Do we ever see much of the Prairie Artesan (bomb) beers or Westbrooks (mexican cake) in Minnesota?

I was just curious if this is something attainable with some work in future years or if we pretty much have to trade for them.

 

Neither are distributed here at this point in time and I have not heard of any plans to do so.

Prairie would be the most likely, but I have heard they may have expanded too quickly to a bunch of other states, so it could be a while as they play catch up.

So it is only trade, but both are pretty easy to get.

 

I have heard from multiple sources that Westbrook will be entering our market in the near (ish) future.

 

Nice, I would not complain about that too much.

I'll believe it when I see it... We -just- got them maybe 4-6 months ago in NC, and we're next door neighbors. We probably saw 20-30 cases of Mexican Cake for the state of NC.

 

I wish I had more info to offer. I thought it was somehow tied to the 12 Percent presence.

I know this launched last fall - but first I've seen it in the Mpls/St.Paul area: Stone Enjoy After 7.4.16 is at Cub Liquors in SW suburbs ($12.99 for 750mL).

Also, they had Paradox Skully sours on sale for $11.99 - is that the best price people have seen for those? (I'm pretty sure it is...)

 

I did one better... I had my parents who are in Duluth on vacation go to the brewery and find out, lol! Truthfully they were walking downtown anyway, so wasn't a big deal. But yes they do still have bottles available. The weird thing is my parents didn't have a cooler and Fitgers recommended keeping the beer cold... I told them not to worry about it, but of course they didn't want it to "spoil" so they are going back with a cooler later. I don't know why Fitgers would care if it stays cold, I mean it's a Framboise Sour? In what universe does a Framboise need to stay cold?

 

That's the lowest price that I've seen on the Skully sours. Blue Max is $13.99.
