Northbound did it to seemingly good effect before their opening.

They're very friendly to me. I often get a wave and a smile the instant I walk in the door.

Just wanted to say to whoever properly updated Insight's beer list on this site, kudos. Thank you and well done.

Or a lousy date, you have to be married with kids before taco bell counts as a nice date.

Is it just me, or does F-Town seem like a poor choice for a brewery name? The letter "F" has other connotations afterall.

I am friends with a few people from Faribault and they always say F town when referencing Faribault. I can see what you mean though, it definitely has other connotations.

The phrase "I took my girlfriend/wife to F-Town last night" just got a whole new meaning.

Think where this could go when F-Town does their long awaited collaboration with Big Wood.

Two breweries (presumably in planning) are considering setting up shop in Chaska. Get on the case, @Chaz! http://www.swnewsmedia.com/chaska_h...cle_5019a6b5-a763-5e2d-8245-23c45bfbe078.html

In "It's Not a Brewery, But..." news, Tattersall Distilling opens its cocktail room to the public on Wednesday, July 8 in the heart of the Nordeast Brewing District in Minneapolis (1620 Central Ave. NE). Local bartender extraordinaire Dan Oskey is behind the project. It sounds great from this description: http://mspmag.com/Blogs/Foodie-File/July-2015/Almost-Open-Tattersall-Distilling/

Riverside on the Root's brewing arm is called 2 Rivers Brewery. http://riversideontheroot.com/we-ar...eble-pale-ale-and-native-brown-oatmeal-stout/

I've heard of developments in Chaska for a long time, now. As in five or ten years. But since I don't personally know anyone down that way (homebrewers, garden variety beerknerds who haunted my dreams at retail... ) I always wrote it down as being a whole lot of wishful thinking -- much as with any of the other Craft Beer-starved suburbs.

It would be cool if they got something, of course.

Will be heading back to the north from the cities on a Sunday in a week or so and plan on hitting Lupulin in Big Lake. They seemed to check off all the boxes.

    Open on Sunday...check...

    Fill any growler?? Yes....check...

Early reviews on their beers are promising as well. I usually head north on I-94 but will plan a detour on Highway 10 just to hit this place as they seem to understand how to cater their business to the consumers.. Will have a couple pints and if good will fill 3 or 4 growlers to go. And of course I will report back here.

I don't have a lot of detail, but a friend Gave me the scuttlebutt regarding on what's going on in Grand Rapids. There's a development project with a planned brewery. However, said project is asking for city funds ($13m, allegedly). The kicker is that one of the main investors is on the city council. Apparently, people noticed and it hasn't gone well.

    I haven't found a newspaper article (though I really haven't looked yet).

When I go back and rephrase a sentence I really need to do better proofreading before posting.
