    Celebrating a very successful fermentation of my second batch of my imperial stout, None More Black, as it just ticked past 30% abv. Brew in hand is last year's batch of NMB, which clocked in at 25%

    Good Monday morning! I bought this morning's stout at the bottle shop across the street from our friend's house in old town Ricmond last night - Southern Tier's "Choklat Oranj":

    Smells and tastes like the chocolate orange candy balls sold at Xmas! Creamy tongue coating. Orange zest and bittersweet dark chocolate linger. Outstanding. And 10% ABV doesn't hurt either. Another great day underway. Cheers!

    Another great beer from a brewery that doesn't get the love it should considering how many of its beers are so highly rated here. Les Trois Mousquetaires Hors Serie Oud Bruin. Thanks again @Whatup14 for sending this to me in the Spring CANBIF.

    Good Monday morning, BA's....my last day off on a nice long holiday weekend.....going to go test water on my lake with local EPA contact this morning, should be fun!

    Had a nice day in Columbus visiting with my daughter yesterday; picked up some nice Cincy / Cbus area brews that are not available yet in Akron market - Madtree and Rhinegeist...great stuff! Also found 4 more glasses at a thrift store in German Village area....score!

    Good morning BAs! No pix this morning - battery (camera's) recharging. But then you all know what Mama's Little Yella Pils looks like. This is the lightest in both flavor or color of the Oskar Blues brews that I've tried - actually not too bad (for a pils).
    Not raining yet today - may have to water my rice crop some. Mrs. Lizard and I are planning to take a couple of days off and heading to MI later this week - I'm working on my beer wants and itinerary but I'm sure the Mrs' quilting requirements will trump me. But Brewery Vivant isn't safe - lock up your duck livers because we both like 'em!

    On to Bellwoods Jutsu Version 1. Like most others, I think i preferred Version 2, but this is nice. Bottled on June 30th, so nice and fresh!

    Ouch! Totally sore from all the activities on the holiday weekend. Need some protein for my muscles and some beer to numb the pain. Here's the remainder of my Friday growler trip to NEBCo: some Fat Ten-er #6 that they revived with Hallertau Blanc and Nelson Sauvin. Yum! Oh yeah, the chili dogs are pretty good, too.

    If you look in the background of the pic (above the chair) you'll see a building with a blue roof, that's the Stony Creek Brewery. If their beers were better I would request a tap line be made to reach my house. Oh well, can't have everything!
