Ballast Point - Grapefruit Sculpin (Cans)

I'd have to disagree, I felt the heat was right where it should be. Both the grapefruit and the habanero helped the beer in my opinion. You could have gotten a hotter batch than I did though.

 

That's possible, although I hope their QC doesn't allow for too much variance. And I do love heat (as I douse my chicken with Tabasco and some hot Granny's Homemade Mustard. On a side note, I have purchased more grapefruit since my original post. Good beer.

 

Yea, I don't think it would vary too much. I know the faster you drink the more intense the heat gets haha. The grapefruit is a good summer go to, despite the price.

Just picked up a six pack in NJ. Very pricy, $15 a six pack. I had this beer when in San Diego and could not pass up a chance to have some more. I liked it better on draft at the brewery; however, a interesting and tasty brew!

 

Six packs of cans were 12.99 in VT yesterday. They also had it for growler fills but ran out over the weekend.

 

Does enhanced mean ruined good beer? That stuff is truly awful, like crazy awful.

 

went to a beer tasting in march with several breweries there, ballast point had grapefruit and habenaro on tap, had the grapefruit. was very tasty, however, I didn't try habanero. people said was wee bit too spicey. I should have tried it.
