As a huge Founders fan I'll def try it but I'll admit I was hoping either CBS or Doom was on the horizon, maybe the next release.

100% agreed. I buy Bell's or Short's over Founders because they sell all their core beers and most of their specialty beers in six pack format. Other than Harvest Ale I haven't purchased any Founders in a long time because of that reason. Also the pricing for the four pack is often times as much or more than the six pack from the other two I listed.

I don't really care for Centennial anymore, and I've never been a fan of Porter, Dirty B, or Pale Ale so no reason to buy anything from them unless it's really mind blowing ala Harvest, Backwoods, or Imperial Stout. If they BA Impy stout they would have lots of my money in whatever format it's released

Weak...another potential disappointment from founder's backstage series. Price point is also high for the style and competition in the market but I guess throw something in a 750ml and label it "special" and it's worth more.

I just want a brewery to make that a beer name. Every other pun has already been used....

Not interested. Nudge me when they announce what this year's Art Prize six pack will be.

Bonehead Red is really good. Fat heads=fantastic hoppy beers. Pick some up. You won't regret it.

    Cheers

Amazing you were lining up 5 years ago when the 1st backstage came out in 2011. Check my math but I think thats 4. But we are all cooler now regardless. Waiting in line for beer..never heard of such a thing.

What do ya know... A page of Founders Back Stage release hate. I get it, they set themselves up for failure leading off with Blushing Monk, CBS, and CBH. With that said, it's the same response every time they announce a new release.

I dont get how a beer like Dark Penance gets a 4-pk "specialty" release spot, but an imperial red ipa is a 750ml backstage release. While they arent the same style, i struggle to see how one is considered more "experimental" or "limited" than the other.

No love for breakfast stout? Probably the seasonal I look most forward to from them.

This is gonna be cool - probably an overly expensive cool, but I'll buy it nonetheless. Feel like their Backstage Series has lost some steam lately. Hope this one's as good as it sounds.

I'm not a big fan of FBS when it's fresh. After it's mellowed out a few months it is a good beer, but for my money I will take FIS over FBS 10 out of 10 times

Right on. Can't disagree that FIS is a damn good beer too.

Big Founders fan here (see pic below of my cellar stash) but at the pricepoint of $5 per 11 oz. I would almost certainly only buy this once to try.
