I guess they needed a couple extra months on the interest free loan.

I am not a sour guy, so this makes sense to me. Local OC guy willing to meet at tasting room and swap them out.

The only real plausible explanation is that they are having serious cash flow issues (most likely because the Terreux tasting room?) and need an immediate injection of cash. Or maybe they really are worried that September/October sales would be down if they also required renewals that month.

I could come up with some other entirely unsupported theories (investment/acquisition on the horizon), but no need to speculate.

Either way, it's disingenuous to suggest that it's for our benefit.

Isn't just time shifting the time when sales are down just putting a bandaid on an open wound. With them dropping this news today, it really changed my perspective on buying this months allocations at all and just saving up. Because hey, if it was in Sep/Oct, then I would have had time to manage my money enough to be able to purchase both bottles from the allocation as well as the renewal.

If anything, Summer activities/planning/trips come first, so throwing it in now really does make it a "welp, guess I could do without these bottles" sort of thing.

Yeah, it's really disingenuous to make it sound like it's for our benefit, and while I'm sure people wouldn't have suddenly splurged to buy more in the next two months to meet whatever quota - as if one actually existed and it's not just throwing darts against a board of names, it does take more wind out of the sales of thinking that your spending habits are a contribution towards your leveling up in the memberships.

That's not even funny to joke about. (although I am laughing at it on this side of the screen)

I have issues coming up with the money but they have given us a much longer period to do so, so that's fine with me. Last year it felt like I only had a few days to decide (it was longer I know, just felt rushed). End of next month is a long way out in theory.

With 30 beers on tap for the final 5 month plus $300 for a renewal there's a lot of money to dish out. I wish The Bruery would have made some beers available for purchase even if you couldn't pick them up for a few months. I'll probably pass on buying multiple of some and buying one of something just because there all stacked up at the end of the year and not more spread out.

No Hoarders invite received here, none expected.

Which is OK, RS is about the right size for me.

I'm not a hoarder, in that I have limited space to store beer. One beer fridge that holds about 50 bottles. I really have no interest in going beyond that.

I'm not a trader, don't have the time or patience for it.

I rarely max out any of my allocations.

While the hoarders beers do look interesting and I wouldn't mind the extra hour at the anniversary party. The truth is RS works just fine for me.

Am I the only one who is excited about this? I mean sure I love the fruited sours, and new Black Tuesday variants are always welcome, but I've been waiting for them to do a proper BA Wee Heavy.

The Bruery would never approve that atrocity of a plain black logo... put down the torches/pitchforks

Perhaps, if the Bruery was purchased by Ab-InBev.

I was 100% trolling. It's been slow at work. Here's a GI version too. I guess more appropriately all black.

So I just received a letter stating the best thing that has ever happened. The Bruery announced that SitR with pineapple & coconut is slated to be released to society members in 2016. This is the best news in the world obviously because this is the best beer in the world. That being said, what are the odds of this now actually happening? I heard that it was so damn good the first round in 2014 that it would explode the bottles...(that is not a joke, I am serious)

I thought I had spent more than I did too. About $1800 in online beer in 6 months not including what I spent in the tap room, which wasn't a ton since I only made 3 trips, as I'm out of state. Like you no HS.
