Not necessarily redone, but it has evolved (as all of our beers do...nothing is static)

I'm here for many reasons, but one of the particular reasons I'm here is in defense of the good people who work at Sixpoint Brewery. @Stigs decided to say "Fuck Sixpoint" and wanted to take the conversation in a negative direction (especially after @troygreer had taken it in a positive direction).

The good people on this site know the real deal. No one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes now and then - and that includes companies AND customers. If you have a consumer complaint regarding one of our products or services, our door/phone/email is open for you. That is our customer service commitment to you. But if you willingly decline all of those options and instead decide to use a public forum to spread negativity (or even lies), then we will defend ourselves.

Awesome. Hopefully if I travel somewhere that has some @Sixpoint I can find the evolved version. We don't get you guys in NWPA (I am closer to Erie then Pittsburgh) unfortunately. I always appreciate reading your posts on some other threads and how active you guys are on here. There are a few breweries that are very active on here (BA, not just the Pittsburgh Thread) and I appreciate that.

Here's to hoping I can find it to give it another go, until then cheers.

Yeah I couldn't find the Homestead Facebook post with the exact info about it, but it's a block party that donates the proceeds to the Homestead Fire Department *I think*. So worthy cause.

Speaking of @voodoobrewery I was checking out the new hours in Meadville 3-8 (Mon, Tues, Wed) and I stumbled upon a sample of the #boc that's going to be released for people who bought the allotments, and god damn I think it's even better than the firkin. So much Peanut Butter goodness, added to an already awesome beer. I can't wait to get bottles!

Off topic a little, but I was thinking about this the other day.

I can't for the life of me figure out why every single local brewery isn't in this thread, communicating with their current and potential customers. It's a HUGE missed opportunity to pub your business for free. The ones who do it... Voodoo, Brew Gentlemen, etc. are the smart ones.

Agreed on Church. I honestly had kind of forgotten about them and they are on my list for a revisit soon.

Yep @ChurchBrewCrew does a great job on here. Any of them who aren't on here, engaging in conversation and promoting themselves are being very foolish.

I would encourage the brewer from hitch hiker to show back up. I know they were catching some flak, but it was easy to see his determination and updates.

Wild Boar BBQ pizza is money. I like the Southwestern pizza as well, always ask them to add grilled chicken.

I was there with @barflybastard 2 weekends ago talking with the assistant brewer and a little with Andy. They are very excited about their new Kolsch and the "Vermont" IPA. The Kolsch is supposed to be pretty authentic to true German ones. Not a thrilling style but one I really enjoy for it's simplicity and drinkablility.

And I really have to agree on local brewer involvement. This thread is HUGE. We all know there are a shitload of lurkers in addition to the God knows how many posters (and that number seems to be dwindling every day now...where the hell is @kbuzz?). We all bring people to these breweries and, based off of this thread, we all have big mouths. We can very easily spread the word about a great brewery or a terrible one.

We can not continue without @kbuzz. Also, reported Sixpoint for being annoying. Respectfully, get out of our Pittsburgh thread.

One of our brewers is from Erie, PA. Was up there last year - will let you know when we are up there again!

Thanks ANDY. It was rejected anyway. Is Sixpoint even in this market? Their posts have created controversy in our calm and respectful group here. This isn't NY.

trying to convince my wallet. Havent been before, so I'm eager to check it out.

Is there no craft beer serving BJs?
pardon my nubality. I think that would be pretty kickass though.

Speaking of which, anybody know of any local grocers or retail stores otherwise that allow perusing/shopping with drinks in hand? I know some random wholefoods and wegmans have done it elsewhere.

I believe all alcohol consumed on site needs to be restricted to a certain area. I am no law man, just an observation from signage and setups at stores.
