So, I shared a few bottles tonight with a friend if mine and the easy highlight was this:

MBCP was also really good but I preferred this one. It tasted like a liquid almond joy in the best possible way. Thanks again @whyteboy003 !

 

@Mipper is just crushing it daily. Who knew I'd ever get so excited just to see this bottle cap:



So poured a glass, smells and looks great, tastes better than it looks:



But no idea which it is, so....



Thanks @Mipper , this is a really nice beer. Never thought I'd dome a bomber of Rare Barrel solo in under a half hour, but it was so damn drinkable I couldn't help it!

Not sure I can wait until xmas for the next 12 days, what'd we got for holidays? 12 days of Fall? Start doing it quarterly?

 

Sitting here watching USMNT play in my hometown (should have bought tix) and just opened up this gem from my man-crush. BIG BIG want of mine (and ANOTHER wish list beer). I love all the Jackie O's stouts, and this is their king. I love how the Maple comes through at the end. And just when I thought my sender was a west coaster, he goes and pulls this rabbit of Ohio, now I'm really confused. Again. But so thankful.

 

Glad you like it my friend! It wasn't a want, but it was retired, so i thought it through. It was also the only Rare Barrel bottle I had, so I figured I HAD to send it!

I had an opportunity to rev the old Rascal up and go and visit a few old friends and tick a new handshake and I had to take it........7:30 PM bed time be damned!



I was warned that this should be shared and it was described by some as the most sour beer they have ever tried........call me an old glutton but i liked it! Had 3 pours with @PA-Michigander @UcDru @ninjembro and @MMBrew

We also had a few others.....






Some of these (among others) were 12 DOS shares!

I guess I can admit it that I am officially a Huna junkie.............can't get enough of it. Luckily I have one more 2015 to share with friends at a later date................and DBH is still tied for the best beer i have ever tried with Assassin.

Man, French Broad Chocolate Factory and Vortex Doughnuts are two places I keep hearing about and keep not getting to...

 

Sorry for the delayed ****. First day I got to drink less than 32 ounces (granted I didn't drink that whole growler by myself Saturday, but I sure as hell drank more than 64 ounces).

Anyway, I have had both of these beers once I believe and very excited to try both of them again.


The Peche Mortel is such an awesome bitter coffee stout. Awesome beer to start the night and then a little palate changer to finish. I did blind tastings on both and knew immediately judging by the cork/top and cherry flavors that this was a Red Poppy. Really enjoy the change up in styles. Looking forward to tomorrows bottles and sharing with @lefty17

Love the blind aspect and starting tomorrow I'll be trying, and sharing, the day 5 beer and try to pick out what it is without looking at the label.

 

The replacement box arrived from @Syracuse12 , despite UPS' best efforts to the contrary. There really was no need for this, and it will come as no shock to anyone that my man killed it yet again!

Well another day another awesome beer from Mike aka @mklisz, never had this beer but it's awesome. My wife is trying to steal it, she loves sours and saisons!

 

Tempted to try this.. But I'm always excited to unwrap when I wake up in the morning! Though i also used to wake my parents up at 2am to open Xmas gifts...

 

I actually peeked last night to see what I had to share with friends tonight. I've not yet done that and will really try to pick it out tomorrow. Of course it'll help if there's a brewery logo on top!
