My pr0N for the day. Thank you @richkrull

Another day of 2 beers. Pretty excited when I opened them this morning.

Blakkr was not on my wants list, but it should have been. Wow. So good. I need more of it. Is it the same version from the other 2 breweries? Either way, I want more of it.

trying the can display all the cool kids are doing.

Rocking my proper glassware and t-shirt for my second beer of day 5. It was very good. Straightforward bourbon barrel aged stout. Not as good as the last tyranena bottle I had. doubly down even dirtier was amazing.

Day 5 brings a 12 oz bottle. Upon peeling off the top, I see gold foil and my mind says that it must be from Avery.

The pour is a dark brown, the nose has hints of chocolate, and the taste has a cola sweetness to it.

Uncle Jacob's Stout! Another want hit by @Kylo76! Thank god this is only a 12 oz bottle!

Day 5 - de Garde Bu Weisse
Not only another new beer, but another new brewery.

de Garde has been on my radar for awhile now, just haven't been able to get my hands on a bottle. This thing won't be lasting very long after it cools down.

    Thanks @HoppySeb

This is a new brewery for me and I'm impressed. A very nice Sour, not a heartburn door, a perfect amount of sourness, great balance, beautiful beer. Thanks @NJB145

    Day 5 Beer!

So I was given this one completely blind by my girlfriend. She was hoping for lighter beers today but was obviously in for a rude awakening. Nose was sweet with bourbon and oak. Pretty complex knew right away it was going to be a BA Stout. Taste was just absolutely amazing. Smooth barrel great alcohol note on the end that wasn't over powering. Vanilla and charred oak, and nice roast to it. Clearly a BA Russian Imperial Stout. Based on the size of the bottle I couldn't wrap my head around whatever this beer could be. My guess was that it was something local to @UcDru from a brewery either I had A) Never heard of or B) Heard of but tried little to none of their beer.....

I first looked at the cap and immediately saw #datglass. Mad Tree brewing! Well that was exciting as I've only had their PsychoHoptherapy and very much enjoyed it.

MadTree Bourbon Barrel Aged Axis Mundi. Wow this beer I've never heard of and really know nothing about the brewery. What an AWESOME beer to try! Rating: 4.5

Day 5 - So @whyteboy003 decided to give me a half day after all the previous days damage. This is what I got:
Crooked Stave Vieille Cranberries & Spices in oak barrels (in the glass) and CS St Bretta Winter (soon to be in the glass).
Quite a treat as I don't see or have CS often. Vieille is tasting pretty good. Cranberries and Hibiscus upfront and cinnamon in the back. Thanks Matt!

Day 5. I believe another want. I had a sip of this before at a bottle share next to Old Viscosity but super glad to get a full bottle to myself. At the share I thought I like Old better but having a full bottle I have a hard time saying that again. Another great beer.

Oh yeah and who are the big Cider Advocates on here? I might have to send a bottle or two of my homebrewed cider. The one I bottled today is a sweet cider clocking in at 8% and brewed with about a pound of burnt honey per gallon. Already tasting delicious even when its flat.

Man, is this the fourth consecration during the 12 days?!

    Did @whyteboy003 send a pizza?!

@UcDru and I are about to blindly try to guess our day 5 beers.

I can't say I'm all that experienced with cider (so if you're looking for tasting notes/brewing tips, I might not be the right guy) but I sure would enjoy trying something new.

I have some homebrew cider myself, two different ones but both dry. I'll be happy to share but for the moment they are prisoners of secondary fermentation (it's been about 18 months, they could probably use one or two more) and once I'm happy with them I need to get them kegged, carbed and bottled.

LOL...... We DO know each other's addresses (for the most part)... it'd be funny as hell to send a (paid for, not being a dick) pizza someone's way, ninja style.

Definitely done to swap homebrews and ciders at anytime. Not really looking for tasting notes or tips, just would want to share. But I'd be happy to give anyone else any tasting notes or tips if they want to swap, I've reviewed and brewed a beer or two (not as many brewed or the expertise of some in this group though...)
