I'm visiting form the east coast at the end of the month and I'm bringing some Other Half cans maybe some Carton cans with me that I wanted to share with the guys at Modern Times.

Def not looking to open them there, I just want to pass along a gift from the east coast.

I put this in a different thread but it was suggest I check here. Is this something that is acceptable or is it looked down upon?

Not Jacob, but whatever. You will be able to pick up your bottles this weekend. You won't be able to buy any special releases that might be out for the day, though.

Yes, we allow bottle pick-ups during ticketed events. We also allow growler fills, simple merch purchases, etc...within reason.

Excited for this weekend... don't recall seeing it posted anywhere - will there be food/food trucks?

I'm so tempted to make it a full 200oz of danksauce whalez braw weekend and getting that Session Three ticket to be there all weekend long....

Not like being productive at comic con was worth a damn, besides, I think that would be a better way to enjoy that SDCC night life.

the buddy I was staying with in SD had a death in the family, so now I can't make it down. I have 4 tix for session 2 and am not sure how to handle. If anyone can use them, let me know and I can check with MT about transferring them. Really disappointed.

Major bummer! I'll ask some of my friends who were interested. Where are you heading from? If you're heading down with a couple people, it wouldn't be too expensive to split the cost of an Air BnB in the area, but I guess with ComicCon probably everything is booked.

Canned cold brew coffee from MT?! So excited for this. @ModernTimesJacob would the cold brew be sold in canned 4-packs similar to your base beers?

Thanks - coming down from OC (was going solo and meeting up with my buddy, his girlfriend and her friend and now that he's not going, probably not appropriate for me to go with just his girlfriend and her friend - believe me, I asked). I also thought that ComicCon would make things tough for a last minute place to stay.

Comic Con will also make traffic a pain. The 5 South is bad enough on a Saturday from Orange County when there isn't a major event, also Sundays leaving SD North is horrible.

Might want to plan for extra driving time if you're headed to the events.

Sorry to hear that. Call BPT and have them refund your tickets. There's no shortage of people who will want to buy them.
We're not really sure yet. We were thinking maybe 12oz cans, sold as singles. That would be more typical for coffee. But 16oz four packs might be more fitting.
I'd STRONGLY urge everyone coming from the north to take Amtrak. The Old Town stop is a short, .5 mile walk/Uber ride from the brewery. That way you don't have to deal with traffic, parking, drinking/driving issues, etc...And it's a beautiful trip that's far more relaxing than white knuckling it in weekend traffic.

    Cheers & thanks,

Thanks Jacob - that worked, so if anyone is looking for tix to session 2, there should be 4 available!

These are great tips. Also, cannot wait for the canned cold brew!

I will say though, everyone should do their best to just Uber/Lyft/walk/bike from wherever they are (or Amtrak/trolley/Coaster if coming from further north, south, or east). I go to the Old Town park and ride every day and leave from there to go to work. At 7:30a, it's usually half empty. It usually doesn't fill up until closer to 9:00a. Today, it was almost COMPLETELY full, at 7:30am! That's extremely unusual. If you do plan on parking at the Old Town transit center and walking over to Lomaland (which is exactly what I did last year, after breakfast at Perry's cafe), leave yourself plenty of time, because it'll be tough finding a spot in that lot.

so frustrated this morning - babysitter cancelled yesterday for Sunday so my wife and I cannot go. At least BPT quickly refunded the price but I'm so bummed to miss the party.

Hope you all have a great time. If anyone in OC would be willing to pick up an extra 2nd anny rocks 12oz. glass I'd be happy to paypal you in advance.

Sorry to hear that! Can't help with babysitting unfortunately...but may be able to help with the glass. I'm in the IE though. Also, I only see a the pint glasses and the ones included with the ticket (but I don't think those are 12oz?), so not sure which one you mean?
