Anyone hear anything about tap lists or what breweries will be at the Michigan Brewers Festival in Ypsilanti? Less than a month away, had a great time at my first one last year with @niner99
You probably want to keep an eye on this site Where can I find a list of beers you’ll have? A list of the beers available at the festival will be posted on The Mash as soon as it becomes available in advance of the festival.
Lately that list has been the week of the festival. Some breweries will post on their own sites/social media lately.
Yep, don't expect a taplist until until the week of - last year I think it was just a day or two before the fest, and they never did release a separate "brewery" list beforehand like they used to. That said, like @sarcastro said, some breweries post their taplists early via social media, and people in this forum sort of compile them in a Fest thread as we find them. (Usually we'll add any pre-fest events at local bars too.) Edit: Here is last year's thread if you want to see what I mean, and get a feel for when stuff gets posted before the fest.
BA dudes and dudettes, I need a ticket for Saturday. Can anyone hook it up or does anyone know anyone that can? I posted in Tickets here too: http://www.beeradvocate.com/communi...ewers-guild-summer-beer-fest-saturday.312669/
Is there a festival map showing which breweries will be where? Also (and I highly doubt this, but have to ask) is there times on the tap lists, or any mention of what time certain beers will be tapped?
Yes, and for the most part. They will both be in the program handed out at the fest, and available for download the week of the fest. They have timed tappings if the breweries provided them with their list. Some aren't on the list.
Yeah, the festival program has a pretty good map showing all the breweries and where they are within the ~5 tents. It's fairly spread out across the park, which I like. After you stop by your must-hits, it's fun to just wander, or walk along the river and see the breweries over there. Pro-tip: don't forget to checkout the "Back Forty", which is at the very back of the festival grounds along the river. I've had friends go a whole fest without ever making it back there, as it's easy to just hang around the 3-4 big tents closer to the front.
