Lagunitas is very good as well. Bear Republic is very under the radar but nearby those as well. So long as we're talking North Bay, 3rd Street Aleworks ain't too shabby of an option when Russian River is so busy that you just get beer to go.

"Brewpub" is such a tricky term because lots of good breweries have good pubs. If we define it as a brewery that does not distribute outside of a very limited area, then Minneapolis Town Hall is my favorite, by far.

Which is increasingly the case. I stopped by RR tonight after work to have a quick PTE or two and found the place at capacity. On a Thursday night at 5! Thankfully, I had my growler in my car.

One island over, on Nantucket, the Cisco Brewery/Winery/Distillery is always a great time, outdoors with music. A new place on the Vineyard was pretty rocking when I visited last year - called Bad Martha's Brewery.

Bad Martha is great. But My family has a house in West Tisbury so I'm always in OB getting rocked. No Nantucket for me.

Havent been to many but 3 Floyds and Founders were fantastic places. Floyds has a better product with so many pub exclusives and variety of beers and food, but Founders atmosphere blows it away and their deli style menu is no joke.

Aside from the usual suspects, I actually really like Potosi Brewery up in WI. They have a few really solid beers, but the building is beautiful, and nothing beats a drive down the Great River Road in the Fall.

I'm surprised it took so long for someone to mention FFF. The food is great and unless you hit at a time with a bad bottle choice of only two or so, there are usually 6-8 choices to go. And they always have taproom only beers to try. mmm Not a big fan of the metal they play, but for the food and beer, i'll gladly listen.

Not sure what my favorite is but the ones i dislike the most are any Thirsty Monk pub in Asheville... over priced, mediocre selection, poor service, and have been known to be very rude....

Thinking the same thing. At one point in time John Harvard's in Cambridge and Beer Works across from Fenway stood out for me. Now their beer "pales" in comparison

Have to agree with the Prohibition Pig nods, great spot.

Alpine Beer Company's beerpub for sure, although i have yet to visit their new location. If you frequent it enough, like i used to, it feels like home. Everyone knows your name, food is great and of course there's the beer
