Sorry if this is a repeating thread every few days on here for you guys.

I'm from Minneapolis and I'm in Chcago for he Mayhem Festival in Tinley Park tomorrow! I'm down here with my Wife and another couple. So the problem is - I love good beer, and they don't. I want to hit up every damn liquor store on this city - they don't. I want to go to restaurants that have a tap list I can't get back in the cities - they will as well if the food is good...

We had Bad Apple last night which was amazing, and I'm glad we chose it over Kuma's. I'm wondering if you guys can suggest a good restaurant with awesome food and an awesome tap list with 3 Floyds, Pipeworks etc etc. I think we'd like to get some pizza tonight....

I'm also wondering if you can suggest a good spot to find some local beer options besides Beer Temple and Binny's Lincoln Park. Just looking to stock up on some good brews before we head home!

Thanks BA, I appreciate the help. I don't wanna be stuck drinking water

I don't think I'd ever be glad I chose somewhere over Kuma's - best burgers around, and good beer too. I've never been to Bad Apple, though.

I think your bottle shops are fine, considering it sounds like you won't have time for much. However, if you are going to those stores tomorrow, Beer Temple won't work - they are closed for their anniversary party. Another place to check out would be West Lakeview Liquors.

I would suggest going to Piece, but they'll be crazy busy, so be prepared for a wait. They brew their own beer. I'm not sure of the better pizza places having 3F or PW on tap. I'd make the pizza more of the priority - most places will have something decent available so you don't have to drink water. Another option is to go to Goose Island Clybourn across the street from Binny's LP - good food (but not a pizza place) and they have lots of stuff that isn't distributed.

Agree with Piece. Awesome beer on their own, plus they'll have a tap dedicated to FFF and Half Acre.

Pipeworks is generally not on tap.

Didn't know about the dedicated tap to those two...just more incentive to go there.

Stop at The Open Bottle in Tinley Park. No food, but there are some nice take-out places close. The draft selection is always strong and the bottle selection is tops for the south suburbs. It's only about 5 minutes from the concert venue.
