This is exactly correct. I live close to the Ohio border and only buy stuff from The Bruery in OH. It's infinitely cheaper than the overpriced stuff that ends up at Caliente and House.

Petit Ferme - dry hopped farmhouse with newly discovered Wild Yeast strain,honey suckle and raw wheat straw.

Ponoma - beer/wine hybrid with mint and black peppercorn.

tapped right at opening.. 12 minutes. I can't be there in person but I've sampled the early tastes of these and you are in for a treat if you have a chance to try them.

I really enjoy the Pomona. Not feeling the Petit though. Needs much more carbonation.

View it as a sneak peak, with time that beer should be a different animal. Pomona is unusual and I only had sampled a bit from the tank when it was much younger. it reminded me of a rooftop cocktail you'd drink at a classy party or something and it would be a great thing to drink in the Biergarten. I appreciate the feedback for sure.

also, I could be behind the times, but anyone tried any product of this Allegheny City Brewing coming to Deutschtown this fall?

I think it's ticketed event bc it's a donation fundraiser for the fire company . Seems worthy enough to me but I am an asshole what do I know

Honestly, that looks like a normal everyday line up to me. Fundraiser or not, that's a weak effort to charge for admission.

 

Um....I'm almost positive you get live music, a beer, a bbq sandwich and it's going to a good cause, the local fire department... Yeah that's shitty And weak.

Rare beers or no pay I guess, f the local fire department. Maybe if you house is on fire the local fire department will make you pull out a whale to get them to turn On the hose
