I don't know...what's different about their party this year than the last one? I need an upgrade.

 

I haven't had smoked brisket in forever. V excite.

 

Not so great this year. Got a sample yesterday. It was WAY hoppier last year. Also tastes like it's infected.

 

Stopped by Draai Laag last night to check out the new space. It looks great! Broke my flip flop on the way from where I parked my car so it was a quick trip inside for a bottle of R2 then back to the car. Trudging around the gravel in a broken flip flop = no bueno. Space looks like it will be a great hang out for sure, can't wait to check it out again.

 

Well they better give me a peanut butter brisket to make up for it or I'll never buy it again (actually just buy it to trade it away, but tell everyone otherwise)

Kolsch with lemon drop hops and a Tangerine Orbit Wheat Pale Ale.

 

I opened it on the 4th and it was drinking great.

Join us for Voodoo Homestead's First Annual HomeBrewDoo Tasting Competition! We will have Matt Allyn, Master Brewer from Voodoo and DavidCerminara, owner/Master Brewer of Apis Meadery on hand to judge the contest.

To enter, all you need to do is send an email to [email protected] with your name, a basic description of you beer (style, IBUs, SRM, ABV, or any other way you want to tell us about it, this is just for arranging judging flights), and how it was made (extract kit, mini mash, or all grain). To enter we will need two bottles, or that equivalent volume (2 12oz, 1 22oz, 1 howler, etc)

A few quick rules:
-All beer must be made on homebrewing equipment
-No proxy submissions, if you didn't brew it, don't enter it
-One entry per person
-Have fun, this is lighthearted contest

This meeting will also be our first HomeBrewDoo Bottle Share. Feel free to bring in some bottles of your homebrew to pass around. The only stipulation is that we can't drink them on site. So you'll have to take them home before enjoying them.

Spectators are welcome, we won't be having a master class, but if anyone want to just come and hang out with a bunch of awesome homebrewers, they are welcome.

We can't wait to see you there!

Straub has a kolsch I just saw

 

Heard rumors and have been waiting for this one. Yesssssss.

Picked up my PB BoC a bit ago, got one in the fridge now. Can't wait to try it.

 

I got there around 2-230 and could only get 8. Was disappointed.

 

There were a lot more names scratched off than I was expecting at 1:00 when me and other Andy were there.
