Thank you everyone for all the advice and answers to my questions about th. Yesterday was my first experience and was a great one. The fact that it was a beautiful day yesterday in CT/MA probably helped as well. Got to line at about 10:15a and was 44th. By the time the doors opened I wanna say there may have been a little over 100 people who were waiting. Their growler and can line process was great. Yes I was lucky and they still have cans left for everyone who got there in the morning I think. I finally got to try Julius and it was freaking amazing. Up to now, Pliny was my all time favorite but I think Julius beats it. Hope to visit again in near future!

I loved Ma the first time I had it a couple years ago. I feel like this batch was really dialed in - still way underrated.

Just a head's up....Brimfield Antiques Fair is this week, 5000+ dealers along Rte 20. Runs Tues-Sun. Plan on some significant delays if you're coming that way.

Unless you're intentionally stopping at it I would get off the Palmer exit and backtrack if you're coming from the east.

So with the barcodes on the new Julius cans, are we thinking distribution soon? Or maybe that's still way down the road?

Oh God I hope so... if CBC could start carrying Julius in MA like they carry Heady in VT, I would be so happy.

I don't see why distro wouldn't be in the plans though. I understand they have a tough time keeping up with demand, but name me one of the major craft breweries in the NE that doesn't push out to retail accounts. NEBCo, Carton, Grey Sail, Trillium, Night Shift, Fiddlehead, Alchemist, Foley Bros, Lawson's. I guess HF doesn't, but they aren't canning either.

it may be in the eventual plans. but i don't see that happening soon... at all. they can barely keep up with whats being sold at the brewery without people having a hissy fit about not getting the beer that they "came" for. maybe in a year or two. maybe.

Local distribution has been stated by some of the guys at TH as a vision for Julius. Can't wait to see the Green cans reboot!

They will eventually need to provide an acceptable level of peace and quiet for their neighbors. Distribution is the only way to accomplish this. They need to release some of the supply away from the brewery/ neighborhood.

The Alchemist is the outlier. They distro mostly because NIMBY activists shut down the retail operation in Waterbury. Fingers crossed, that wont happen in Monson.

Your point is valid. Distro can be a good thing TH will obviously keep growing. I just don't see distro happening any time soon, not until capacity is increased...again. .
