If they sell out every week at the brewery, why would they go into distro? I'm with darkandhoppy, it will take another big expansion for TH to go into even limited distro.

This. To avoid something similar to what happened with the Alchemist. Or maybe to increase their reach. Not everyone can make it to the brewery and/or trade for their beers.

They've also started hitting their draft accounts again, so it seems possible. If they put out 500 cases of Julius last week, I don't see why they couldn't split that number between retail and brewery sales then cut back the on-site limits.

margins need to make sense before they start selling through distro. i bet that would take much, much more than 500 cases of Julius a week.

And then we can have secret hand shakes at all the bottle shops for TH too. Its bad enough that all good beer is hidden now, don't add to this. The small shops will have to expand their back room to hide all the TH stuff. I kid. I kid.

I feel like we are way overdue for That's What She Said. That doesn't mean I expect it this week, but it's been a long time.

I don't work for a store but the reason they do this is to spread the wealth around. People are greedy and would buy everything even if there is a posted limit. Store employees that don't know what a certain limited beer is would have no problem selling all of it in one go (think of all the issues around Bourbon County). It also prevents cherry pickers and rewards repeat customers. Some people will miss out but you can't make everyone happy

I'm thinking this is really good. 500 cases of Julius last week and 515 cases of Eureka this week.

Definitely good. And they just got two new big tanks so it's only going to get better.

I get it. But I don't want it to continue. I don't buy enough or repeat at the same places, so it's incredibly hard. That doesn't happen at the brewery.

With just cans today hoping it moves real quick. Make it a cash line and those 500 cases will be gone today! Hoping to get there around 3:30 and see no line but we'll see. Also haven't got to try Eureka w/Citra yet so looking forward to getting a case of it to share with friends at the beach!

Don't think this warrants its own thread in the IP FT forum but if anyone from Boston is swinging over there today and would like to swap a few Eureka w/ Citra cans for a few Lawson's Super Session #2 cans from this past weekend's sale shoot me a message.

Shouldn't be much of a line with the large window, large volume, and no growlers.

for example, I was there last week and i was 98th in line. I didn't get growlers and was through the can line within a half hour. The line today should be quick. I don't even see a reason to arrive early and wait an hour or 2 before open. I bet no matter what time you arrive, the longest wait you have is 15 or less.

Wednesday can sales are great - there is essentially never a wait. As is the current status.
